remember when female superheroes had respectable costumes.... well they didn't but these are real life down grades. are these costumes sexy to anyone and if so explain cause I don't get it. I understand a lot of weird fetishes and stuff that people are into but who does the trashy look appeal to? wouldn't it be cooler if Marvel put the effort into making better costumes over all for male and female characters for us the fans so we don't have to make them ourselves or have someone make them for us to go to cons/Halloween.

It's not just Marvel, that's all comic book companies. And it's basically how they are drawn. Most super hero costumes are hard to translate to film or tv becuase they just are. You have to be creative to pull it off. There's no way Emma Frost or Starfire can have their costumes translated to film faithfully as they are drawn becuase they will come off ****ty.

These costumes are trashy. My favorite female costume of all time is the phoenix, and that costume covers every inch of skin. I learned how to create better female costumes when my fiance saw a drawing I was doing and said "Take the heels away. No woman would ever fight evil in heels. And another thing, how doe cleavage say to society 'respect me I'm a role model'."
