Stroub was fine when she was on Reaper but when she showed up on the new 90210 she had lost a lot of weight for some reason.

You can see the difference in her face in those photos posted by Mr. Earle. She looks great in the first two but the third one her face looks so gaunt.

She looks a lot better now than she did when 90210 stated.

I don't know about Thor, but while seeing her on Kyle XY i hust found her voice not...feminine enough. a bit unpleasent to my ears. It's too...husky IMO. Kind like Sophia Bush's voice.

One of the hardest things about casting the WW movie, is that most of the actresses who would be good in the role are TV actresses. It's a big gamble in the studio's eyes for them to put down the money for a female-led action movie, especially if there's not a "big name star" leading it. And unfortunately, all of the "movie stars" who I've seen mentioned for WW are not at all right for the role. I mean, Anne Hathaway? Not in a million years. Either you end up with an actress who is older than what the studio would want for a trilogy, or you end up with someone who looks and acts nothing like the character.

Anyway, back to the subject of casting, I still feel like Yvonne Strahovski is one to watch. She's tall and looks powerful, but still manages to be distinctly feminine, just like WW should be. The only catch is that she'd need a dye job, but that's no biggie. I think she'd look just as good with dark hair (also, there's a dark haired character in Mass Effect 2 who was modeled after and voiced by her).

Yvonne appeared ,once, with dark hair(a wig) on Chuck. It was in the first Season. You don't need to look so far to find Yvonne with dark hair. Espacially not in an animated character based on her.

Just one of the reasons I prefer ANY discussion over casting Diana when it comes to Wonder Woman. I mean, look at how much work it takes just to swing the thread to women that can actually act, and how long does that last before it swings back to "What about hot girls 1-10" "Hot girl 5 does nothing for me."

Her voice has a husk to it, there's no doubt about that. But she stilts it, and defeminizes it even more as Jessie. But she can also smooth it out.

Your mileage may very, but I think the husk carries a strength with it that can help the character. That said, she's not bubbly-feminine, neither are the characters she plays... neither is Diana. She is a very qualified, attainable individual in a field of models, butch ladies and past-their-primes. If her voice is the only hang up, get her a contract.

That said, I suspect there's an virtually unknown better fit for the role.

Eliza's a overrated, to be sure, but she's not as bad as many make her out to be. I'd like to see her on the show, not as Diana, but she's a pretty experienced and well known TV actress, with some fighting history. Why hate?

If Eliza looked good as a redhead she could maybe be Aretmis (amazon) she does good with the badgirl tough role.

And I am guessing she went with Aretmis (the goddess) since she is the goddess of hte hunt and is usually referred to the Amazons patron god in mythology. And I wouldnt mind if they made her the main goddess in the tvshow since she always seems to get overlooked.

Dud, this is just a thread on casting suggestions. We have to keep throwing names in here if it's going to stay fresh. Nothing that's posted here will affect any actual WW production.

Hey, if They'll do it and would offer Jaimie the lead as Diana, and she'll accept it. I'll be happy. As i said, lookwise she's perfect. Just because her voice bother me a bit i wouldn't dismiss her.
She's defently a good candidate. but as you wrote yourself i believe if this thing will ever get made(a TV show or a movie) the lead would go to some unknown actress out there.

BTW what is the identity people here think Diana should adopt when she's not and how would you make it work for the TV adoption?

Its well stated. She really is a mediocre TV actor. Im all for TV actors I mean there is alot of talents in TV like Jensen Ackles, Katie Cassidy, Jared Padalecki, James Roday, Dule Hill that aren't being used that much in movies.

But Regan is a D list actress, who was on a D list show, that barely anyone gave a Damn about. Somewhere down the line if she does something well acted, I will gladly admit it. But right now her for Wondy is a big fat no

I think Eliza's great but she's not a true lead. Look at the show V, it's closer to being an ensemble even though Elizabeth Mitchell's character is the lead character.

I'm not sure how many of these names being batted around simply good/decent actresses but not necessarily leading lady material.

That wasn't a pilot script. That was for a movie.

I like Dushku a lot, and I think she has leading lady capabilities for the small screen and for certain smaller movies (particularly in the horror genre). She's not foremost in my mind for WW, though.

A lot of TV shows give actresses their first shot at a series lead, and that's particularly true of action-adventure series. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if the WW series gets off the ground to see someone cast who hasn't been a lead before. Of course as we're kicking names around about who has the acting chops and screen charisma to fill that lead role there'll be differences of opinion on that score - there are always are.
