How do you think their powers should compare if they fight?

Should Wonder Woman be equal to Superman? Or maybe much weaker and slower?

You have to remember that Snyder's Superman is really fast but not very durable. If he is hit by a missle its equal to being hit by a 240lb linebacker (according to Snyder). So if you make Wonder Woman much weaker then Superman she may be vulnerable to traditional firearms if she doesnt deflect them.

I think firearms should....annoy her, if that makes sense. Like not hurt her, maybe bruise a bit?
I hope she can't fly, I dunno why but I've always liked when she can't fly.
But she should be able to leap.
She may not be as strong as Superman but she should be more experienced, even if this movie does take place 2 years after MoS, she would have been training her whole life.

I'd say shes probably just as strong but she knows how to fight better then Supes. Plus with her lasso, bracers and sword (all of which should be magically infused) she'd probably be able to hold her own pretty well. I think Supes will be faster though but Wonder Woman will have better reflexes.

Like Faora, but with bracelets.

I'm expecting Wonder Woman to be super-strong and nearly invulnerable, but to be "weaker" than Superman. I'm not sure whether TPTB will allow her to fly. I'm inclined to believe that she won't be able to fly.

Ideally, I would like to see Wonder Woman as Superman's near equal in terms of powers, with the obvious exceptions of heat vision, super-breath, etc. When combined with Wonder Woman's years of military and physical combat experience, then I would expect Wonder Woman to have a distinct advantage (although Superman may have been training since his encounters with Zod and friends).

At this stage, it's hard to tell from the single promo image and the single paparazzi image. Wonder Woman's costume could potentially be read as "primitive" and if the set in New Mexico was actually Themsycira, then it would appear that the Amazons don't have advanced technology (or don't publicise the fact if they do). But, technology wouldn't necessarily make Wonder Woman any more effective in a fight against Superman, especially since she doesn't ordinarily use any Amazonian technology to her advantage.

The only other clue is that Wonder Woman is being referred to as the daughter of Zeus, although it's unknown whether that is direct from the script of simply included because it reflects her New52 origin. As a demi-goddess, I would expect Wonder Woman to make a substantial show of her strength. Whether or not she has "god mode" or magical weapons like the swords which emerge from her bracelets, remains to be seen. The sword from the promo image looks fairly ordinary, but so does her lasso and that should at the very least be somewhat magical (i.e. unbreakable, able to compel people to tell the truth, capable of extending to any required length).

Man I hope not. Always founded it silly that she would fly….but I guess in a JL setting with so many other flying characters aside from Superman, might as well. But I prefer there only being a few, with Supes (and maybe GL if there at all) being the only flyer.

Although, the only flying characters announced so far for JL are Superman and GL but who knows if he will be in JL. So it would be cool if that was Supes' own thing. To see him floating above the rest of the members would be pretty cool.

I hope that there won't be another GL coming…and it could leave Supes as the only flyer, too.

This is the only logical, acceptable, fair and just outcome of any ''vs'' between Wonder Woman and the much superior (in terms of power levels) Superman:

Superman should always be the strongest hero in the DCU, imo.

She should be able to hand his ass to him at this point.

WW should be the warrior they rely on.

but Superman should be the one who manages to do what the others cant when he steps up to the plate. Unmatched raw power unleashed by will power. Destroying the world engine, for example.

I've always understood Superman to be the strongest hero in the DCU as well.

Not that I consider WW weak. I consider her on the second tier of power levels, with superman being at the top. Contrary to a couple others, I don't want her to seem like a "Faora with bracelets." I thought Faora was an entertaining character, but I don't want a clone of her where WW should be. I hope they can find a way to make WW just as entertaining, but feel different somehow. I fear that Faora-type badass character will become tokenized if overused.

I've come to like the idea of a small troupe of flying heroes working together and would prefer this WW to fly.

^ when i think faora with bracelets, I mean her abilities, like super leaping, fast, agile, expert hand to hand combatant etc.

Regarding the sheer power, Superman should definitely be unmatched and remain the most powerful member of the JL. But Wonder Woman should be more powerful than any other leaguer and second only to Superman, I find.

And there's also a fact that she's a well-trained warrior, versed in many fighting styles, which should easily level her with Superman in fight against him. Basically, she should be a mix of Superman and Batman - very durable, fast and super strong character that is also trained in many forms of martial arts and reacts almost instinctively in fight, with very fast reaction time.

This should sum it up:

And I'd also prefer her to be flightless.

"Who's faster, Usain Bolt or Bruce Lee?" hahaha Batman bringing in the knowledge.

Wonder Woman has super human reflexes, but it wouldn't matter if she never saw the threat coming. Sure, in pure hand to and she would dominate Supes despite his strength advantage. IMO of course.

I've always found it a bit odd when (even if canon at times) they make supes a lame fighter. One would think a man with the fate of the world in his hands and intergalactic opponents to battle would learn to fight well.

I guess it's hard to find a sparring partner when you're super strong and able to fly. :funny:

But yeah, I see your point.

It would be cool to see Clark doing some form of training in BvS.

Who would he train with/against?
