Anyone on Anvilmar or Gurubashi servers?

I thought that's what you said.

And I'm here to prove you wrong.

In my healing gear, in a 41/0/20 spec, I have +1265 healing, with 232 or so regen while casting, and ~100 mp5, all unbuffed. Offspecced, I've main healed top half of Kara, with rarely ever going under 80% mana.

your a minority then man cuz every shaman ive ever been involved with in a group straight sucks and I stand by that statement.

Lol at pallies running out of mana. That's pretty much impossible if you're healing.

Don't role a pally if you wanna be attacking, they're still kinda broke at the moment. :o

Tell that to my pally that tops the DPS meters all day long. He's only like 48 as well. It's all in how you play the class. People think this class is broken, or that class is broken, or this is OP or that's OP, but they're wrong. There's maybe two or three actual broken things in this game so people need to stop saying stuff like that.

If you wanna be an attacking pally, go full ret and stack agi/str or stm/str/agi and you'll be fine. Hell, go 35/25 and get Vengence / Reckoning so you can just demoloish everything in front of you with your crazy extra attacks and crazy extra % damage.

Lvl 48? Because its not hard to do that as a Ret paladin at that level. Its when you hit 70 that the flaws in the tech tree become very apparent.

Also please explain to me how Ret paladins aren't broken? We used to be based around SD (spell damage) now we're more AP oriented but none of our gear has changed in the slightest, its all SD heavy which means to be even viable as a raid dps we had to wait in line for the dps warrior gear that and the fact that we eat through or mana in the first 30 seconds of a boss fight. Theres nothing we can do about it either besides pop potions and hope for the best.

uhhh actually they can and I do :woot:

 Except you can't. Sure, you can sap a mob but not multilples ones at once though I think prior to 2.2 rogues could sap two targets at once and also at one time when you use sap you would break stealth.

I much prefer to act as a warrior rather than a mage(healer) with my shaman. Before a quest, I'll tell people straight up "Don't rely on me for heals, get a mage. I'm here to hit things or shoot them w/ lightning from afar."

Im pretty sure I always sap more than one target? Do you actually have a rouge ?

I have a level 70 pally, and let me just say that pally's damage output at L48 is very different than when they're L70.

Yeah, I have rogue and I can tell you when I sap a mob that is in a group of three and try to sap another one the sap on the first one is removed. Maybe I'm playing the class wrong though you should probably read the first paragraph in this link.

5/25/30 or 0/25/35 and you shouldn't need to worry about much. But then again, most people don't know how to play pallies so...

I don't think that its that most people don't know how to play pallies, but more the fact that they see one bad Ret. Paladin and assume the rest must be terrible because all you see nowadays are Holy Pallies all over the place.

Actually, with the improvement made to the Protection tree, many pallies have respec into tanks instead of healers. I was a holy pally and enjoyed it alot, but several months ago I tried Protection (after acquiring most of the essential gears through instances and whatnots), and I haven't looked back since. 2.3 addressed the prot pally's weakness in the stamina dept, which helps alot, but I hope they will give us better interrupts (like warrior's shield bash), better itemization, and streamline the Protection tree because it's incredibly bloated. If these happens, you will see more pally tanks.

finally hit 35 on my rouge, 40 is closer than it seemed.

Well on my server the mentality is "Holy or bust" for most of the Paladins out there. If you're anything but you must be a noob.

I took my friends 70 ret pally out for a spin the other day, wearing a good amount of s2/3 with the rest being filled in with hyjal or bt, with Soul Cleaver as the weapon, and I respeced him to reck/veng build with SoC and I've never seen damage that high critting on whites and critting on SoC procs.

But yeah, prot pallies are pretty sick when it comes to the damage they can output and the damage they can mitigate, people doing the whole "holy or bust" thing are morons. Holy pallies arn't even as dominate as they used to be anymore =(

Wow, I wish I had your friends gear. I'm running on only 3 epics (2 rings from the Halloween event, and the Horseman's Helm) with the rest being 5-man blues and a couple of greens. :csad:
