Comics World War Hulk: X-Men

hell...how long after this series is done till it comes out on trade? i see i'll be at my college bookstore overpaying for a couple trade paperbacks soon.

-Well Juggs was badass for a whole 4 pages, then got tossed :(

-I don't see why Colossus didn't just armor down and then let Josh fix him

-The whole thing ending with Mercury talking the Hulk out of taking Charles...

Ho-hum
I knew pathetic Guido couldn't handle the Hulk. Juggs standing toe to toe with the Hulk was cool till Hulk embarrassed him yet again. To see for all 3 issues that most of the X-men, THE X-MEN mind you couldn't handle one person is tough to take. You would expect them to have these problems with Apocalypse not the Hulk

Summer 2007 = Hulk Smashing and heroes depowered and/or acting out of character

No one's taking down the Hulk this summers. It's fate.

And, huh, knew the whole speech thingy was coming, but can't say I foresee who would give it. Just... what?

Seriously. This mini just made Hulk out to look like a bully of epic proportions. Hardly "avenging his people"

Wait, are we talking WWH as a whole or just that mini? Cause Green stopped being the righteous good guy the second he, oh, I dunno, f****n lost it and started beating up good people because he was pissed.

Yeah, beating up a bunch of kids because he wanted to know how Xavier would have voted?

The moment that pissed me off at Hulk in the whole WWH is when his own cousin whose always been good hearted towards him steps up and tries to reason him? What's he do? Punches her face first into the ground. Not cool at all. :cmad:

When has the Hulk ever been 'cool', I've never been able to understand what Hulk's fans see in this green behemoth.

Two scans from WWH: X-Men #3

Great, the Hulk is [BLACKOUT]leaping into the sun again, his favorite parting style, and we have to see Mercury all tears and being angry[/BLACKOUT], that's why I don't read New X-Men anymore, other than the O5, I have no stomach for other teenage drama.

There's hardly anymore teenage drama in NXM since the new creative team took over

Really? I thought the drama will continue until all the new mutants die out.

To be fair, at least someone finally "manned up" and told the Hulk how **** really was.

All good points; I heartily agree Comrade.

She was working with Tony all during Civil War and before IIRC. He probably thought she was in on it. I'd be pissed too if I thought my only family had turned on me.

Eh. Shulkie was one of few Pro-reggers that was written well during Civil War. She didn't come off across abrasive or brash. She just came across as Jen and what Jen believed in.

Wow, Cyclops wasnt being a d-ck to Xavier. What a shocker

man I cant blieve he kicked my girl Monet from Westchester to New Jersey

Darn right. And Mercury was pretty much the right person to do it, since she's really the emotional core of the NXM team. And considering they've been hit hardest, what with the deaths, it makes more sense for one of theirs to be the spokesperson than a normal X-Man. Besides, if a normal X-Man had said it all, it would've had one of those G.I. Joe feels. "And knowing is half the battle! Yo Joe!"

It's not the best ending, but it's a believable ending. And it's probably the best ending we could have hoped for. Gage wrote a good, solid comic, showing that even a comic based on a questionable premise (even if it's a premise I can see happening, given how Hulk's going in WWH) and all-out action can be more than merely "stupid" and "senseless."

And tsk, you Guido nay-sayers can sit down. He was one of the heavy-hitters other than Colossus that actually threw down with the Hulk, and even gave back something. No duh he couldn't handle the strain, everyone knew he couldn't, but he's one of the few who stalled Hulky, and he'd have probably kept going if he had to, up till he died (probably the next use of his power). That's heart. And heart's better than "OLOL WOLVAREEN HAZ TEH CLAWZ!!!!!!!!!!!one" :D

Man, people just complain so much. :whatever: Enjoy the comic for what it was. Total action with awesome one-liners, with an actual plot, and some actual surface at points here and there, starring just about all the X-Men that Gage could get his hands on, all written properly and as they should be, which even main title writers can't do. With great art that totally helped the book. Of course Juggernaut's only going to be on a few pages. It's a 22-page comic and ten of those pages can't be devoted to showcasing Juggernaut. It's not like Hulk trounced him once he'd taken the power over. Juggernaut shined where Thing got clobbered. Instead, just about every character got their chance to shine, without Gage having to put them in situations where we'd be going "Oh, c'mon, that would've killed <insert name here>, how ridiculous :whatever:"

Although I personally think it would've been awesome to see Madrox go all 300 on Hulk and hogpile him. :woot:
