Yeah you are very wrong...People knew Bale back in 2005...The man was The American Psycho and Machinist.

Btw interesting point about Bale, did you know he was in the Sam Jackson movie, Shaft?

Of course, that's the film I remembered him from. When Bale was cast, I said to myself "The white racist guy from Shaft?"

Bale was in American Psycho but that film didn't make a big splash. The Machinist was indie film. My point is, Bale was still a lesser known actor at the time. McIntyre is currently in the same boat. I think the role of Batman doesn't require a big name.
