IMO, Keanu Reeves in Dracula. I couldn't watch the movie because of that thing. I think it was supposed to be English too, which is my favorite accent on people. It gives Keira Knightley 10 bonus sexy points.

Anyway, what's the worst acted accent you've heard in a movie?

keanu reeves dracula...richard e grant had problems not laughing in their scenes together

end of discussion! lol

Harrison Ford in the Widowmaker.

Shannon Elizabeth's europeon accent in American Pie

Nothing grated my nerves as much as Portman in V for Vendetta. May good was she horrible.

That's the first thought that came into my mind as well. Horrible movie, horrible accents.

Agreed. When I was watchin' it I was like, "Is she trying to do a bad accent or is she serious?...cuz' if she's serious, she sucks!"

Arnold really can't count because it's his real voice. Same with Connery.

I guess I'll go with Ford in K-19.

I second that! Her British accent was indeed horrible, and that was a kind comment.

Yes, Keanu in Dracula. If I'd been the director, after shooting the first seen where he speaks I'd've said, "Cut! This ain't gonna work out, sorry Keanu."
It's so dumb that they cast him because it ruined the whole movie for many people I've talked to. He was also hilarious in Dangerous Liasons.

Also Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs nearly ruined it for me. GAWD!

also Kevin Costner in 13 days. It wasn't super bad, but it ended up sounding more like a cartoon, like Mayor Quimby on the Simpsons.

and holy BROther, Tom Hanks is overrated anyway, but any movie where he attempts an accent is unwatchable to me. :puke:

And I know Natalie Portman does okay, but something about her British accent is very embarrassing like kids play-pretending or a junior high play, to me.
Which also reminds me of the first few scenes in Star Wars where Princess Leia is inexplicably doing a half-assed accent which she later drops. It's like she was trying to impress Vader and Tarkin.

The guy who played Dracula in Van Helsing sucked big time

TIm RObbins in Mystic River. He did the wrong accent. He sounded more like he was from Brooklyn than Boston.

Also, as much as I love Ray Liotta, he was horrible as Sinatra in that made for tv Rat Pack film. Didn't sound anything like The Chairman Of The Board.

Isnt if funny how in the 80's we watched all these movies with Arnold where he was playing an american miltiary guy and the accent never affected us?

Hahaha, yeah. He should've been in Dracula:Dead and Loving It, or a live action Sesame Street as the Count.

Clive Owen in Sin City

Clive Owen is english..he talks that way in person as does Sean Connery and Kate Beckensale.

Worst accent i've heard was Kevin Costner in Robin Hood...it changed like 5 times throughout the movie

Hell, yeah. Totally forgot about that! I mean, c'mon, a British noble who speaks with an American accent when there wasn't even an America back then?

Good thing that was fixed in Men in Tights...
