Worst Acting Accent.

I beg to differ-
Kate Beckinsale in Van helsing. :o
This is definately the winner. I've heard bad accents, but most of them I can suspend my disbelief and not be bothered. Beckinsales accent constantly had me laughing. Not saying Beckinsale is a bad actress, but that accent was horrible.

Halle Berry's deleted scenes from X-men where she attemps an African accent is horrible. She sounds ******ed.

Isnt if funny how in the 80's we watched all these movies with Arnold where he was playing an american miltiary guy and the accent never affected us?

Because Arnold's movies are based upon a one man killing machine?

I just assumed he was a legal immigrant, or the son of some. :D

Clive Owen is english..he talks that way in person as does Sean Connery and Kate Beckensale.

Worst accent i've heard was Kevin Costner in Robin Hood...it changed like 5 times throughout the movie

He was TRYING to sound like an American, it was so bad half the people don't even realize that.

He was TRYING to sound like an American (which by every account Dwight McCarthy is)
The Kevin Coster example is a good comparison as I'm not sure and many other people probably haven't been sure he was trying to sound English.

-Alan Rickman's German accent in "Die Hard"

-John Malkovich's French accent in "Johnny English".

-Lambert Wilson's French accent in "The Matrix Reloaded" and "The Matrix Revolutions".

-Alexis Denisof's British accent in "angel".

-Steve Irwin's Australian accent in "The Crocodile Hunter"

-Ben Stiller's Elvis accent in "Starsky and Hutch"

I don't understand your choices, alias.

Steve Irwin's Austrialian in real life, unless you're saying that his accent is just annoying period.

Starsky and Hutch is a comedy. And even the thought of critiquing Rickman as an actor is a sin. :down :down :(

bale's in batman begins as both bruce wayne and batman altered quite a lot during the film...

Bale wasn't consistent with his "batman" growl voice. I mean, it's distracting at first but I got used to it. I actually prefer the Keaton "calm" Batvoice...the only advantage that Keaton has over Bale (for now...until Batman RISING! 2008)

that scary guy from A Clockwork Orange. The one who comes to see if he is bunking from school. :o

1-Steve Irwin's accent is annoying, stupid and stereotypical. REAL Australians don't talk like that.

2-I'm not saying Rickman is a bad actor (Severus Snape kicks ass!), I'm just saying he can't pull a decent German accent.

3-Ben Stiller's Elvis accent in "Starsky and Hutch" was riduculous and pathethic, NOT funny.

I thought Alexis's accent was fine in Angel? o_O Hmm.

I have to agree btw, that Beckinsale's in Van Helsing takes the trophy/cake home.

Any American actor trying to do an Australian accent.

But unless I'm very much mistaken Steve Irwin is a REAL australian, so yes some REAL Australians do talk like that!
My vote Don Cheadle in both Oceans movies, I mean he wasn't really trying was he!

Nobody was trying in Oceans 12.:(

I guess you have to have a good ear. Not saying that Americans won't notice the quality of his accent, but I think most don't. I thought that Don was funny as Basher with his East London accent. I thought he pulled the accent well enough, and since it's a comedy I'll let it slide.

But Ocean's 12 sucked. I didn't know what happened with that one. It was a choir for me to watch actually. Blah!

That's just a stupid stereotype.

How? He's Austrailian born and bred hell Shane Warne sounds nearly exactly the same as him, not one person has said that all Aussies sound like that but obviously some (a minority) do. Please tell me how it is a stupid stereotype?

@ Octoberist

I loved Cheadles performance in Oceans 11, Basher was excellent. The real credit to him is that even the most patriotic british moviegoer didn't give a crap about his accent, reguardless of the quality as his comedic performance was awesome.
