Worst console ever?

Jet Set Radio Future alone justifies the purchase of the XBox. The rest is just icing on the cake.

I'd say it's between the Gamecube and the Atari Jaguar. I had a Jaguar and I fully admit to the suckiness of the system.

The 360 isn't a bad console. The X-box I don't think was either, but I think it was highly overrated. This will start an argument, but after having played Halo 1&2 I never understood the hype, their mediocre at best, IMO if no one elses, as far as FPS games go. I do think the original X-box was overhyped, but neither it or the 360 were or are the worst console ever.

The Gamecube wasn't bad, it had a few good games. It just died early and underperformed IMO like the Dreamcast, atleast on the game side of things (a few good titles for both, but enough IMO).

I'll agree any of the Sega Genesis add-ons (I like the Genesis itself), and Jaguar would prob be the worst.

I have to go with Sega's consoles too. I've always complained about the Xbox controller. Sega's controllers were way worse and it has always lacked major third party support.

Dude it had a sucktastic controller and yeah, it had some great games like Halo, Riddick, and Ninja Gaiden, but it didn't have enough of those. The Playstation 2 and Gamecube had more great games.

It's like Microsoft took everything that completely sucked about the Xbox and made them freaking awesome with the Xbox 360. Much better controller. A lot of great games are comming out for it. Xbox Live is getting more and more prominent.

Microsoft deserves a lot of props for this.

hippiehunter i dont think that my reasons of dislike of sony is lame at least i didnt say omg the dualshock sux because it does i just said i didnt like it, second everyone knows that the loadtimes were godawful so its not like i'm lying, and third sony is a monster they believe that they can just slap the old playstation brand on anything and automatically it sells no questions asked. So please keep your comments to youself and try and get the grasp of a concept called sarcasm my friend.

Sry, but the only way your argument sticks on "slap the old playstation brand on anything and it will sell" is possibly on the PS3. The PS1 was the first of the brand, you can't argue that they just stuck the PS brand on something and it well sell deal for the first console in the line. The PS2 is one of the, if not the biggest selling console of all time, so your argument falls short on that.

If you really wanna take the route of reusing a name for a series of consoles, and hold Nintendo up so much (don't get me wrong I like nintendo), then you have to count the NES, SNES, N64 all in the same line as they all put Nintendo in the consoles name to help buyers connect it with nostalgia over previous consoles they purchased form Nintendo.

Saying Sony is just relying on their brand name, and then not counting Nintendo, or Sega, or even the newer X-box brand just sounds kinda petty, and just putting down Sony because their Sony and not based on an actual argument. Anyway no offense, just pointing that out.

Hey, I'm not bashing you on your hate of the Dual Shock. To each their own. It's definetely a preference thing.

But the rest of the reasons are just silly. First of all load times are expected with a CD based game, especially one that came out in freaking 1994. And Sony isn't a monster. It's not a living being. It's a business that wants our money plain and simple. And it's not like they employ child labor or anything like that which several *****y businesses do.

Haha Blue Stinger, I remember that one. Im suprised how many of those I owned. Man DC was a good time. I'd add Skies of Arcadia, Space Channel 5, and Marvel vs Capcom.

I need to take that baby out. I never beat Soul Reaver

And seriously, Sega shoudl make some sequels to these games. Especially Jet Set, definitely my favorite game of the system


In terms of consoles Ive actually played, and not just like once or something (like that 3DO crappola). Id probably say the Xbox. Not to say it was bad, but like I said, in terms of consoles Ive payed. I definitely thought it was the least impressive of the last generation.
