Worst Line In A "Batman" movie ever!

Although I'm happy this kind of thing has been relegated to its own thread, it's still just Parents-Gun-Bat carrying on his vigil to destroy all praise of Batman Returns by being (he thinks) clever.

He is clever. :word:
No matter how much one hates BR, to say that a clever line like "I Mistook me for someone else" is worse than "What killed the dinosaurs? The ICE AGE!" is so blinded by their bias, they need mental help.

The Dinosaur one is actually possible! Someone dressed like an iceman could say that! It's a stupid joke, but stupid jokes are made every day by millions of people.

But "I MISTOOK ME FOR SOMEONE ELSE"! Yeah! That's deep! How clever, his other persona. Zen galore! it's PRETENTIOUS CRAP.

So the BR line is not to your liking. To say it's worse than the totally and completely unclever lines in B&R is pathetic in my book. I'll take something depth can be read into over lame puns any day.

Bad jokes happen everday but "KITCHEN PSYCHOLOGY & DEPTH" is a sin and insult towards intelligent people.

post skriptum: I've read your fanfiction.

The problem with "what killed the dinosaurs? THE ICE AGE!" isnt that it's a stupid joke. That's fine. Well, it would be, if this was a comedy. And if Mr. Freeze wasnt supposed to be totally cold and unemotional. That is what's insulting, not only to the viewers, and fans of the character, but to the chracter itself. It's like if they had Batman running around talking about how happy he always was, and how much he loved being an orphan cause now he's rich without having to work. It's a slap in the face to all involved parties.

Also, "I mistook me for someone else" was just a fruedian slip, which also does in fact happen every day.

The only thing that was a freudian slip (vaguely) was "We've met". Not the other sentences. Such a sentence would never slip.

No, "we've met" was just him forgetting for a moment that he had his whole secret identity thing going on. The mistook line was the slip.

When hanging off the edge of a bridge with half of a damn foot, Dick catches Barbara with one hand. And very calmy, not realizing the sheer panic and true gravity of the situation he says, "So..., this is where you hang out."

"Tonight's forecast, a FREEZE is coming."

Seeing as how there is no weather phenomenon called a "freeze", I'd say I win, despite my paraphrased quote.

"Tell me, Doctor...Do you like the THURKITH?"

------------------

"Holy Rusted Metal, Batman!"
"HUH?"
"The Ground, it's all metal it's...it's filled with holes..y'know...Holy!"
"Oh..."

------------------

"7 Million...never leave the Cave without it..."

*shudder*

A sentence like "I mistook me for someone else" cannot slip. It's just wannabe DEPTH.

"You called me here for this? The Bat-Signal is not a beeper."

This line has always bugged me cause really the Bat-Signal is a beeper essentially. Its used to summon Batman, just like a beeper used to be used to contact someone.

It makes perfect sense. He's saying that it's supposed to be used for matters of life or death. Beepers can be used on almost anything.

How about Kilmer's Tony the Tiger impression, "Robin! Wait!"

I refuse to see this line as that bad. Afterall it was deep because it showed us that Batman is part of a bigger comic universe. Christopher Reeve was out there! Get the ICEMAN, Chris! :word:

Again, proof that PGB is only here to bash the Burton films, and nothing more. This argument makes little-to-no sense. If you're going to nitpick Burton's films, do it intelligently beyond trying to argue your opinion as fact.

But he's already got a probationary ban. It was only a matter of time. I doubt he'll behave even when he gets back.

When Robin yells "NOOOOOO!" after his Bike is deactivated by Batman.

A sentence like "I mistook me for someone else" cannot slip. It's just wannabe DEPTH.

Yes it could. He only slipped up and got "I mistook YOU for someone else" mixed up with "me." It was one word, and could easily happy. It wasnt wannabe depth, it was a freudian slip.

Fine:

"You never learned to mind your surroundings."

There's nothing wrong with that line.

The guy that started this with "I mistook me for someone else" has mental problems, that's a good line, if you think that ANY comic book movie is truly "deep" and "intelligent" then you have problems, they are COMIC BOOK MOVIES okay, they ALL have "wannabe" depth and intellect.

That line fit the comic book style perfectly.

Now, Batman and Robin, that's a disgrace to any movie genre. They insulted everyone, comic book fans, kids, me, you, everyone.

My least favorite line would be the entire scene with the Joker dancing and prancing to Prince, Prince sucks, and the Joker should not dance to it, nor should he be a fat old uncle looking guy.

Either that or the obvious ones in B&R, Forever's dialogue wasn't horrible, just the way people were dressed and how they acted, what they actually said wasn't all bad.
