Marvel Films Worst MCU movie?

Of those I have seen, and there are many I haven't of the recent output but its definitely IM2,IM3 or Thor - Dark World for me.

I checked my rankings on my laptop. This is my bottom 3:

3. Iron Man 2
2. Thor: The Dark World
1. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
2025 update:

4. Thor: Love and Thunder
3. Thor: The Dark World
2. Captain America: Brave New World
1. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

I feel like it’s a toss-up between Eternals and Quantumania for me. Like, Quantumania definitely LOOKS worse and probably is a worse movie overall. But I at least like Scott, Hank and Janet as characters. Granted, it’s mostly because of stuff they did in other movies but I didn’t feel like Quantumania ruined any of them. But I also didn’t have high hopes for it. None of the Ant-Man films have been “great,” so I guess I just expected it to be a dumb, fun adventure. But it was mostly just dumb.

Eternals on the other hand I had high expectations for, but it had no characters that I gave a damn about. It introduced SO many people, gave them all like one or two character traits, and then either killed them off or had them fight some people and that was basically it. Or in the case of Dane Whitman, had them run around a little and look at a sword lol. And the entire movie was just gathering the team together. That’s something you do in the first 30 minutes, not over the course of two hours. Just such a missed opportunity, especially with the talent involved. So I guess I would say Quantumania is worse but Eternals was a bigger disappointment.

Captain America: Brave New World, and it isn't close. She-Hulk doesn't know how right it was in depiction Kevin as a soulless robot. It was shockingly awful.

You made it sound look like Feige is as bad as whoever was running Foxverse, SSU and DCEU franchise.

Yes Brave New World is awful. But Mcu over all (well the movies) as a whole, is still pretty solid.

At least Fox and DC took chances. The last "risk" the MCU took was probably Coogler's Black Panther, which was seven years ago (was 2018 really that long ago).

MCU didn't rely on five characters unlike what Fox did with the Wolverine, the Professor, Deadpool, Magneto and Jennifer Lawrence's "Mystique".

If you meant taking risks by taking a **** on the source material and ignoring what made the source material worked by having several poorly received films like Dark Phoenix, New Mutants, Apocalypse, Fant4stic, Origins Wolverine, BVS, Suicide Squad, Aquaman 2, Joker 2, to name a "few". Okay what happened to the franchises again?

Eternals was a risk, Thunderbolts* is a risk which would likely underperform this week, having inconsistent titles like The Marvels and unnecessary long a** titles such as First Steps, Legend of the Hidden Ten Rings are risks, launching movies for ĺesser known characters at that time such as Guardians, Ant-Man, Shang-Chi, Capt. Marvel, Dr. Strange, Thor were risks when they could have just made Iron man 4, 5 and 6, and having dozen of tv shows are risks. A lot of those happened after 2018, fyi.

Unfortunately there have been so many Marvel misses over the last few years, we have a lot to choose from.

But if I had to choose just one, it would probably have to be Thor: Love and Thunder if not for anything else but those bloody goats...
