I'm off today and consumed it half naked like any red blooded American male.

You know, I want to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it's your top half, but everyone here would know that's a damned lie.

EVERY time I've had Pizza hut no matter what State I'm in it's WORSE than Tombstone FROZEN with Little Cesar's close behind

My all time Fave is Olando's or a Rosati's tie for DEEP DISH then Bill's pub with their STUFFED pizza

Well, bottoms/no top is just so cliche. Top/no bottoms is the way of the future.

A dark, horrifying future.

I've never eaten Little Caesars but of the other three listed Dominos is by far the worst.

If I was starving to death I would turn to cannibalism before I eat a Domino's pizza.

I have not eaten Dominos in a few years so perhaps they have improved their pizza but I am not in a rush to try it.

So, you just admitted you are a cannibal.

Nice to meet you.

Some guy just sold me some ocean front property in Arizona, actually. He left really quick, though :o

I honestly don't know how California Pizza Kitchen stays in business. Same with PF Changs. If you live in a big city with real ethnic food you have no excuse whatsoever. The PF Changs in Boston is just a few blocks from Chinatown and, AFAIK, is still doing business. Who the hell is eating that bland previously frozen and - for what you get - overpriced crap? Boggles the mind.

on-topic: I'm gonna stick up for Pizza Hut for one reason: In late 80's Orlando, the PH by my high school had a perpetually stoned waiter who would serve us pitchers of beer with our pies. I still get the (very) occasional twinge for their greasy-ass pan pizza. Thanks Randy!

You can say the same about McDonald's or Subway. They're just easily accessible to most people. Sure, you can find a burger joint that does better burgers, or a place that does tastier sandwiches, but the ease of access is what propels the success of these companies.

of course, but in downtown Boston this isnt an issue. That's what I dont get.

And McDonalds and Subway are dirt cheap, which is probably the biggest factor. CPK and PF Changs arent any cheaper than the alternatives in most big cities.

I live in NJ with plenty of delis, burger and pizza places.

There's never an excuse to frequent a chain place.

The only time there's not really a choice is airports.

I would say McDonald's and Subway are just as comparable in price as a PF Chang's. A meal at McDonald's cost around $6-$8. I was at a PF Chang's about 2 months ago, and a meal with two choices, rice and a drink, cost me around $7.50.

Just checked out PF Chang's website, the cheapest thing on their lunch menu is $8.95. That doesn't include a drink.

McDonalds has a dollar menu. I'm sure you can get two burgers, a small fries and a small drink for $4.00.

Subway has the $5.00 footlong special.

Most of these chains have the ease of a drive through. A place like PF Changs or California Pizza Kitchen unless you order ahead and pick up, it can be a hassle.

Comparing Changs and McDonalds price-wise is absurd. Sorry. Plus most folks don't tip 15-20% at McDonalds, unless things have changed.

And inexpensive but authentic chinese food can be had in most Chinatowns throughout the world.

But we were talking pizza. Any decent mom and pop joint, or even one of those organic/gourmet pizza spots with exotic toppings, is still a better value than CPK. It's just not very good (based on the handful of times ive eaten there anyway. avoid the Peking Duck pizza like the plague, btw)

I do agree that convenience is a big factor. No doubt.

I just looked it up, and apparently I got mixed up with Panda Express. I don't think I've ever been to a PF Chang's, but it looks like a sit down restaurant.....so I dunno?

Yeah theyre totally different. Sorry for the harsh response as I thought maybe you were just being contrarian. Panda Express sorta is the chinese food equivalent of McD's.

Oh, it was my fault, I was making the point in thinking about Panda Express.

My bad, I got mixed up.

PF Changs is like a sit down casual dining Asian theme restaurant.

Like an Asian version of Macaroni Grill. I was going to say Olive Garden but I feel it's nicer than that.
