*Worst thing about being in High School*

Shut the **** up already...we get it. you're random.

aba.............ddon

The bullying was only one reason; I was diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy at 14, and clinical depression at 15. The resulting stress caused my mother to remove both my sister and me from public school.
That's too bad. One thing about Jr. High/early High School is that kids can be like a pack of wolves. They'll tear you up, cut you down, and spit you spit you out into sitting alone in the corner of the cafeteria if you let them.

believe it or not, it doesn't change that much when you leave high school.
Yeah, the main difference is that social scenarios can be played up to ridiculous proportions in High School. After school, if you don't fend for yourself, you'll often find yourself at the bottem of the social totem pole resulting in being ignored or getting **** jobs kicked down to you in the workplace. If this is the case cooly telling the boss that they're an old bloated up windbag probably isn't usually going to work out very well. The best advice I can quickly give to anyone whose in this situation is to know yourself (stregnths, weaknesses) and the type of work environment you'd function ideally in. Then, try and shoot for something that fits.

Getting hazed as a freshmen sucked, hazing someone else on the other hand...

I only made it to my freshman year in high school (dropped out in '97, got my GED in '00), but to me the worst experience was being the school punching bag (I was constantly bullied for many of my educational years).

Jesus Christ, you actually dropped out over bullying?

When you're a 17-year-old freshman (started school at 6, failed both 6th & 7th grades once each), insecure about everything, with no self-confidence, and instructors who don't believe you're being beaten by other kids at least 3 times a week...needless to say, I was very thankful to be rid of those aspects. I'm just regretful over never having had better memories.:(

One of the weirdest moments I had was being sent to the principal's office for drawing glowing crosses on my textbook covers (a fellow student mistakenly thought they were burning, and took offense). It was rather awkward, having someone mistake a young Christian believer for a hate-filled racist. The principal must've thought I was crazy or somethin'.

The brain dead bullies who pick on people were the worst thing in my high school. The second worst was boredom. The boredom was probably the reason why the bullies did the things they did.

I changed High Schools twice and lived in 3 different towns in 4 years,It sucked. Homework? I barely even did it...towards the end I didn't do it at all...fail me, I don't care" was my attitude. I passed. I was "given" a diploma,I didn't earn it. I don't know how it is in HS now,but I went from 1991-1994,there was no Internet,CellPhones,DVDs,Playstations,IPods or High Definition TVs. There were comic books though,I drew alot in HS and that's how I would get people to talk to me since I was so shy,I just started drawing and hoped some girl would notice, but of course I'd want the hottest girl in school to notice.Never worked. If I had to do it all over again,I'd do it with more confidance.

I know most of the members on this forum board is in high school. I'm in high school right now and I'm a junior. It's tough being in high school right now because everyone wants to act cool just to fit in. Teenagers are acting to much like adults in a boyfriend/girlfriend situation sort of way. Seniors are making fun of Freshmen because they are new to the school; did Seniors had have the same experience when they were freshmen? They have instigators around school who changes friends into enemies. They have friends who break their friendships because of something stupid. They're racism surrounding the school property that can escalate into a big miscommunication because of one racist black/white/hispanic student starts. Were racist raised by racist or born racist? What's the worse thing about being in high school? The worse thing about being in high school in my opinion is being immature. Immaturity is judging people before you know them or re phrase it like this "don't judge a book by it's cover." immaturity is not being honest with your friends or relatives. What is the worst thing about being high school. What's on your mind when your thinking about what the student did to the other student while your in the middle of it. Or when a student makes fun of another student. If i had a wish, i would wish that everyone can just can along with each other and don't worrying about little things like aggravates you.

Huh?

I went to High School with over a thousand other kids in a tough city and I never noticed any kind of racism, bullying or social ostricism like you see in movies and tv shows.

The worst thing about Highschool was having to ask to go to the bathroom and sometimes even being denied. It's insane to put people in an environment where they can't get up and pee at their own free will.

No One Can deny you the Bathroom.
"Can I go to the bathroom?"
"No."
Get Up and Go Anyway..There is nothing they can do except complain,if you get detention, don't go. They don't own you. No teacher is allowed to touch you either.

I think it's partly because freshmen are idiotic, BECAUSE they're new to high school..a lot of them act like hot **** where it's more of an initiation type deal...Once you survive your first year...The elders will accept you..

Until then.

Suck it up Freshman.

real world might have more freedom, but its not as care free. enjoy it while it lasts.

I could get either suspended or exspelled if I ever do that

I call BS on that. They can't suspend you for having an emergency. If you have to go to the bathroom, they can't deny you. This is America. :supes:

This is truly a problem.

All you out there going to school, DON'T GIVE A ****, what the dumbass instructor says, just go.

Don't make my mistake.

Meh, I had to deal with bullies the other way. Sent one to the hospital, you'd be amazed the lesson that teaches to the rest of them.
