*Worst thing about being in High School*

That's the truth. I wonder whether it's best to dedicate your lifespan to doing something you hate or doing what you love...

The answer is tragic of course.

The answer(for me at least) is to dedicate myself to minimizing the amount of suffering I have to endure. I'd blow my brains out tonight if I knew for sure what comes after and it was something good. But I don't and if there's even a 1 in a quadrillion chance that the religious types are right, then that's one I'm not willing to take. So I try to keep myself out of pain. That's it, that's all there is. Occasionally there is pleasure to be had but it's far and few between. I'll settle for less pain.

My senior year was my favorite. That year was just so damn awesome. And easy.

This is too precious, you claiming that it would have been a mistake not to go to college? I hate to break it to you but all the good paying jobs out here will expect a college degree. Have fun in poverty.

You sure love to tell everyone how to live their lives. :whatever: Not all good paying jobs require a college degree. In fact, the best ones often require something far more important, the ability to think for yourself and not be a pawn in someone else's game plan.

I know the feeling. School's torture. And I don't get it, why do adults (I'm one now of course, YAY... ) want children to suffer so much? Then they say the real world is worse. What kind of insentive is that to continue struggling through school?

17 was when I dropped out because I couldn't take it anymore... I wanted to just get a job, and make my own way like bill gates or whoever because I felt school held me back. I was in the top 5% at school there and got no respect. screw em. Then I got scared like an idiot. It's against the law to be out of school... omg, maybe they'll lock me up.

Not for me, but for my parents, I went back, miserable, completely mired in unending emo sorrow, besides seeing a girl I liked everyday (seeing being the extent of all I could do... I had no clue how to deal with that aspect of life and of course had all sorts of work to do for school so I did the crappy school work since it's soooooooo important)

I didn't even go to graduation. What a waste of life those years were for me. I shouldn't have cared about logarithms, I should have handled my business and became a man by going after that girl... worst regret of my whole life...

How maladjusted and socially incompetent to do you have to be to utterly HATE high school? Jeeze.

I'm in HS now. I'm 6 days into my senior year and it cannot end soon enough.

The worst thing about being in high school is dealing with your parents and teachers. They really have no clue what it's like to be a student today. Parents, especially in my area, put a lot of pressure on kids to go to college. If I told my parents I wasn't ready for college next year or didn't want to go, they'd probably disown me. The teachers can be such pains in the ass. They are completely oblivious of the fact that your life doesn't revolve around the 40-some minutes they spend with you each day.

it sucks to be socially ******ed . i remember my first day in high school a girl from a grade up (really pretty) came up to me while i was at my desk (school hadnt started yet.) she tried to make small talk and i got nervous and buried my face in a book . that was painfully stupid.

Don't sweat it. She probably thought it was cute.

Tall guys love high school.

bastard.

Hey, I was **** on most of freshman year, but I learned how to play the ****ing game. If you make the conscious decision to hate everyone, or deem yourself above high school, of course you're going to ****ing hate it. You have to find your niche, and work that ****. Make as many acquaintances as you can, meet people, get your name out there.

People who loathed every second of high school were the people unwilling to just chill the **** out and take everything as it is, and not wish it was different.

Rabbit...calm down. You obviously didn't see my first post in this thread. I breezed through high school. I had fun, I had friends and then I graduation...no big deal. Its what you do with your life after high school that really matters.

Did that come off as not calm?

It wasn't supposed to read as angry, dood. You know I wouldn't get mad at you.:csad:

lawl.:woot:

High school was the ****. If you were even halfway intelligent, you could do the minimum and still get good grades. It was one big joke for me.

Senior year was my favorite. Especially after I found out which colleges I got in to and decided on which one I would go to. From then on, it was actually fun. To all the kids still in high school, enjoy it now. The work is nothing compared to college and then either grad school or the workforce.

That to me is like saying anyone who gets raped should just get over it.

But whatever. School's not going to change, more kids will mindlessly suffer through it "just because its what you're supposed to do", life goes on.

You're right, a sexual assault is equivalent to having a bad time in high school.

Get over yourself.

My favorite part was when we killed the Mayor at graduation.
