Sequels Would you change Spidey's costume???

It's not bad, but a little extreme. A little too spider-like. It has a slightly spooky, Halloween feel. You don't see Batman wearing this on his suit.

A few minutes after I posted this^, a bat came into my house. It's gone now.

it was an omen
you must become the... BATMAN!:P

You're the second person who's said that to me. Actually, my reports of the bat's departure were a bit premature. My other half came in from work at 5 am & FREAKED. When I caught him in a cup & took him outside, she locked herself in the bathroom until I assured her he was gone.

They must nest somewhere in the grounds . . .

i'd keep him in his iron spider costume 4-ever!!!! (just kidding)

nah, that costume's ok, but the originals the best. if i changed anything to the comic costume it'd be to make the back spider always mach the front 1. to me the round spider always looked like a tic.

The one thing about the costume that I didn't like in the films, was that it made him look, well chunky, not extremely so, but he looked to bulky. Spider-Man was always sleek, I feel they should keep the basic original design, but make it slimmer looking. Oh and add the old school rounded spider on the back.

,

Or a crab. I've felt for years that the movie costume corrected the one flaw in the comic design.

Some of you guys seem intent on taking the costume backward instead of forward. I'd rather not have them downgrade. Let some of you have your way, we'll end up with something like this.

Certainly not the way to go-and CERTAINLY not better than what Raimi & Co. started out with.

ya, the only thing i didn't like about the movie suit was the no webshooters. but thats more tchinical and less visual so it doesn't count.:yay:

I was initially bothered by the organic webbing. But it in no way detracted from my enjoyment of the movie & I came to prefer it. I found it more plausible given the nature of his powers, than a kid swinging around on what is at best, a synthetic polymer adhesive that the great minds of 3M (or even NASA) couldn't come up with, & at worst, glorified silly string.

i prefer web shooters, but it's not a big deal.

I think that the majority of fans who say they prefer the artificial webbing are just used to it. I've said before & I'll say again, comic fans are NOTORIOUSLY resistant to change.

Well they've made all these little minute adjustments in every movie that are basically getting it back to the original design. I agree the version from "The Electric Company" in the '70's would be counterproductive, but I've found it hilarious that every new movie boasts the hundreds of changes they've done to the costume. Which in reality just gets it back closer to the version I think they should have started with to begin with.

I have nothing to say about the costume. Maybe just one small thing, the web design are a bit too thick other than that it s perfect

The word is "thick", that discussion happened last page, & no they're not.

Yeah, there are things about the movie costume I would change, but I'm not disappointed. If they didn't change it, I would still love it. There are some aspect to the suit I really love, like the way the designed the white part of his eyes, the spider symbol on his chest and back, the texture and colours. I was blown away when I first saw the suit.

True, it is a little weird that Parker could design and build this suit, but I can try and forgive it, just for sake of it being amazing.

Only thing I would change would be to staple-gun Spidey's mask to his neck, since he can't keep the thing on for some reason.

Ah, but that's to give Toby enough face time to warrant that big check he's getting. And it also allows him to show off new ugly faces he's been practicing in the mirror....along with new crying faces. Or maybe they're the same old crying faces. No matter.
