The art in the Warrior comic was almost...Liefeldian in its level of suck.
I bet IMAGE Comics published that ****.

it stinks of Liefeld.....no feet and it feels like its missing pouches

That cover looks like it was done by Joe Q, too. Meh, the 1990s, if we could only forget it happened.

You can't make this stuff up guys - Kurt Angle says that he's considering another try at the Olympic games and he's dead serious.

"It's not just this old man trying to lash out to get publicity," Angle told WTAE Channel 4 Action News on Friday. "It's about really making the team and making a point that, you know what, the 40s is not old. It's the new young. I feel really good at 42, and I might be making a statement that him and I are going to start training for the Olympics and go after the U.S. Open, the Olympic team trials, and then the Olympics," Angle said.

"Everyone asks me, 'How can you do all of these things?' And I always tell them I'll rest when I die," Angle said. "I don't rest very much. I like to do things, I like to accomplish things, and I have a passion for everything that I do, including pro wrestling, and I miss the Olympic wrestling."

"But if we're going to make this (Olympic) commitment, we're going to do it, and it starts in August," he said.

I liked Rocky Balboa too but...C'mon Kurt. Seriously? The man loves to exaggerate about stuff like this. Its just like when he kept saying he'd do MMA.

Theres a reason Angle considered this same thing almost a decade ago and decided not too. And now its many years later.

He just says that kind of stuff to get attention on himself. I think he'd say it even if he wasn't in a wrestling company.

Is it just me, or does today's wrestling news feel like April Fools pranks????

maybe they are going for satire??? trying to be the pro wrestling version of 'The Onion'.....which really isn't all that funny

About as much as I miss -14 sized waists on women.

Is it just me, or does today's wrestling news feel like April Fools pranks????
The Bellas one is :lmao: Who would openly admit that they would go and scam their bosses with their work? Especially when one is obviously tattooed and the other isn't? Hilarious ********.

Regarding WWE tv expansion:

Okay...this is going to sound stupid...but I actually think it could be a profitable thing...a childrens cartoon of Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara as superheroes fighting guys like Kane (in a mask), a gigantic Khali...maybe integrate some retired wrestlers in it...

I would promise to watch every episode if they included one cameo from Lazer Tron.

This would involve WWE purchasing (maybe they already have done this) a perpetual right to the name and likeness of some of their superstars...so they could create toys, t shirts etc of the wrestlers even after they retire.

If one of the main villains is the Undertaker with his bumbling lackey the Shockmaster, I'm sold.

They could use ministry Taker and he could go on long overblown tangents about taking souls and the higher power. Meanwhile, Shockmaster is in the background tripping over stuff.

EDIT--and Undertaker should be voiced by James Avery lol.

This puts me in mind of the art in the comic/magazine that the WWF/WWE put out in the early 90's. I remember one with the Ultmate Warrior, LOD, the Bushwackers and I think the Rockers. Also does any body else remember the WCW Marvel Comic? Here is a link to issue number 1: http://www.milehighcomics.com/cgi-bin/backissue.cgi?action=fullsize&issue=97114432954 1

Here is the WWF magazine I'm talking about: http://www.milehighcomics.com/cgi-bin/backissue.cgi?action=fullsize&issue=97353930770 1

I have an issue of that, or at least had. There was a story about Jake Roberts tormenting an old woman to trap Sid Justice in a room full of snakes, only to get his ass kicked. And somewhere in some backwater town, the Natural Disasters, in their wrestling gear, attacked the Legion of Doom, also in their wrestling gear, riding choppers, only to be run off in the end. At least in the Roberts/Sid story, they were wearing everyday clothing.

I read the **** out of the that book. Looking back on it, hilariously bad, in a good way.

HAHAH! Here's an actual review of the book I'm talking about: http://www.4thletter.net/2007/06/stone-cold-steve-ditko-presents-wwf-battlemania-part-two/

And the cover, for ****s and giggles.

Ah! We were all wondering what would happen to Wrestlemania now that Vince has a mad-on for the word "wrestling." Well, now you know, folks:

Get ready for Battlemania 28!

she's gonna be at the motor city comic con in a few weeks. i've never paid for a wrestlers autograph in my life besides the Jerry Lawler sketch but i might get hers if it means she'll talk to me. every other diva doesn't talk to you unless you buy something. I want to ask her about Batista :word:

- WWE and The Creative Coalition has launched a nationwide anti-bullying alliance called "be a STAR" in conjunction with the National Education Association Health Information Network, GLAAD, True Educator, Ad Council, Island Def Jam and others.

From WWE's release: "The mission of “be a STAR” – which stands for “Show Tolerance And Respect” – is to ensure a positive and equitable social environment for everyone regardless of age, race, religion or sexual orientation through grassroots efforts beginning with education and awareness. “be a STAR” will promote positive methods of social interaction and encourage people to treat others as equals and with respect because everyone is a star in their own right. "

Stephanie McMahon commented: "WWE is honored and thrilled to partner with The Creative Coalition, the National Education Association Health Information Network and our other partners, in an effort to change the way people interact and treat others. Through the joint efforts of the ‘be a STAR Alliance’ organizations, we hope to reach millions encouraging them to stop bullying and ‘be a STAR.’"

- Kevin Nash is asking fans on Twitter if he should go back to TNA or not, after it appears WWE has nothing for him. Nash wrote: "WWE going young.your my fan base, sit on my ass or watch my buddys Sting ass?"

- The former Awesome Kong has changed her Twitter name to @kharma. Her former account, @awesomekong, has all of the tweets deleted from it, only follows @kharma and features a shot of The Bella Twins as the profile picture.

- Below are more notes from WWE's shareholders meeting on Friday:

* Marketing exec Michelle Wilson said the decision to drop "wrestling" from their official name is a part of their vision to expand. She noted that WWE executives had a meeting at the end of 2010 to come up with a new plan to improve, fix and grow WWE's core business, while coming up with new ways to be more than a wrestling company. She added that WWE won't take their eye off the ball of their heritage being wrestling but want to grow beyond that.

* USA Network is helping WWE pay for some of their new marketing campaigns and they have new sponsorship deals with companies like M&M Mars and Kmart as a way to "get the word out about WWE."

* Triple H was introduced as the Senior Adviser to the Chairman's Office. Vince McMahon stressed that Triple H is leading WWE's new talent initiative that will look to bring in more international stars. Triple H is now in charge of "re-focusing on talent development."

* Vince talked about new stars and said guys like Alberto Del Rio, Sin Cara and The Miz are on their way to being the "next John Cenas and The Rocks."

* Vince noted that WWE might have other programs in the future with NBC Universal. They are also looking to "monetize in-ring live event content" through services like Amazon, Netflix and Google.

* WWE is still looking at launching their own TV network in 12-18 months. The network may be launched through normal cable/satellite systems or it may be part of a new model WWE is looking into with services like Amazon, Netflix and Google.

Surprised Vince included Sin Cara's name in that discussion considering his aversion to small men.
