Writing Résumés (for the resident hype adults)

What, really? Every cover letter example I've seen so far has used dear. "Attention" sounds kind of ******ed. Of course they're paying attention, they asked you for a résumé and cover letter. But regardless, Mrs. or Ms. (or miss)?

I've always heard to never use it. Dear makes it sound to buddy/buddy or something like that.

Alright, another question. If I'm writing a cover letter to a woman (Salina was the first name, as far as I can tell that's female, at least according to this), is the traditional practice to use "Dear Mrs...." or "Dear Ms..."?

I always use the "Dear Ms". After-all, you don't know if they're married or not. The Ms. at least covers all the bases
