Superstitions

I hate that Halloween is over,it should be like Hanukkah or Kwanzaa.

Are you superstitious? I practice some things unconsciously. But after reading through this site I feel like I need to be doing most of them to get through life.

AMBULANCE
Seeing an ambulance is very unlucky unless you pinch your nose or hold your breath until you see a black or a brown dog.

Touch your toes
Touch your nose
Never go in one of those
Until you see a dog.

What I want for christmas is book explaining the background of superstitions.
