I was just saying because everyone else who's doing this will go straight to the location, it would suck if it was getting packed while we're all meeting a short walk away, because we could just as easily meet in another part of olive park where we could keep an eye on whats happening

We'll circulate phone numbers before Monday, that way if the first person to show sees that that is the case we can change things on the fly, but in the mean time I think a rally point that is easy to find has advantages for a group of people who have no idea what one another look like.

We are looking to coordinate anyone on the SHH boards who is planning to participate on the ground Monday in Chicago, and pair them with an SHH member who can work with them on the online component of the challenge. The goal is for every SHHer on the ground to be on the phone with another SHHer on the website, with all the goons on the ground working as a team, and all the oracles on line in a common chat room working as a team. With that kind of organization I think we can ensure that our members are able to get in on any kind of rewards there are to be had.

If you are interested in joining us, just let us know how you would like to participate!

Once we get our group of oracles together, we can decide which IM is most common/easiest. It has been my experience that many people have AIM, though.

My guess is AIM or gchat would work best. Almost everyone has either an AIM account or a google account. Or I could set up a yshout room so noone would need to create accounts anywhere but we'd have to make sure only give the address out to people who are involved because there would be no good way to boot someone from the room if they are spamming useless info.

That looks good, but my only concern is that there doesn't appear to be a way to scroll back and look at something you missed...

It's been a while, let me throw up my old test server and see if thats something I can turn on and off. I thought the last time I used it I was able to set up scrolling. I'll report back once I check it out.

I can bring a football. I showed up an hour and a half early to the prologue on Navy Pier and there was a line wrapping around the inside of the mall area. Better to be safe than sorry, IMO, but we'll make sure to exchange info if you want to roll in late and still meet up

Andrizzle and I are trying to give everyone coming in from out of town/different parts of the city time to get there. That way, once we're assembled, we can all check in with our Oracles, and make sure it's a go, and figure out how to work as a team.

Since right now we have a 3:1 Goon to Oracle ratio, and we'd really like to get that down to 1:1. If any of you goons have someone on the board you'd like to ask to be your oracle on Monday, I suggest you do so.
Remind them that the faster they get the clues from the people on the ground, the faster they can get to their online prize!

Allright, I have thought about this for a while as I was willing to come out to Chicago (i'm in Normal, IL and it would be a two hour train ride) but since you guys need more Oracles I'll be happy to do that.

Less expense for me anyway...
