Oh! I was completely unaware that after 300, the people werent getting stamped cards anymore. Now that I know that, I think it seems very possible that it might mean something. But I still dont see how we would get the swag. I hope I dont have to drive back to LA. I hate driving and the people in my car didnt give me any gas money... :(

that sux. no worries. if there's something ill give u a ring.

Yea, I might just take the train. I mean, if something were to come up, I would go there in a heartbeat. I just wouldnt be happy about it, is all. That is, until I get whatever they're handing out.

well that is what I am assuming, the stamps are. i could be entirely wrong though. I hope not.

I thought the stamps were to make sure they were authentic and from this viral event, and not replicas or cards from previous virals. To make sure that goons who participated in the hunt got in, and not people who just walked up. But if more than 300 people showed up in LA and everyone got in to see the trailer, then I guess my theory doesn't hold up.

What part are you visiting? You're welcome to PM and I can at least point you in the direction of something to do! We get a comic convention in June that kinda helps.

Who knows, you may get to participate. Two slipknot package recipients live in NC. Maybe that will force WB's gaze our way.

I'll be near Camp LeJeune, my fiance is a Marine and I have no school during the summer so we'll be in NC after we get married. What time in June would this be?

Yea, that's just what I was thinking too, until I found out that people were getting cards without stamps.

Well remember there was another group that went into see the trailer. Also they didn't even check if we had a card to get in. The stamps really don't serve a purpose other then to show that they are apart of this game, but why this game and not stamps on other games.

Word. Sometimes its better to just not know. When you sent me that text saying that we never did the final step and that there was something else, my whole car was filled with the saddest faces you have ever seen. Things got better once you texted the false alarm though, but still. Geez... scary 30 minutes.

Oh yeah, she called me about that too while I was eating dinner. I had like a seconds worth of panic and then realized she must've mistaken the last clue which I believe is the one we all skipped.

dude.lol. so sorry

In Chicago we had to show our cards to get past security, and even though some of us asked if we could have a card for our online partner, all of us were turned away and there weren't any unstamped cards handed out.

Seems like this was the most disjointed viral of the whole campaign... You guys didn't have to show your cards, Dallas was broken up before finishing their task and was lead to the theater by the manager...

Every answer I can come up with for why the cards were stamped fails to work in your experience. But it seems to me if swag were involved, the easiest way to distribute it would have been as we left the theater, like they did with the Gotham Times after the prologue.

Do you have any thoughts as to why there is a different stamp for each city?

Ding Ding Ding!
I found me in one of the previously posted pictures!

I'm the loser in my green joker vest:

Well, regardless of the cards being used as passes into the theaters (I think we'd have to check that every other city didn't get their cards checked and it wasn't just our theater staff that felt too overwhelmed with electronic device issues to bother), who says they can't also be used for something else? Some cards repeat, maybe they'll have something to do with that? Not that I have any idea how, I'm not running the campaign, they are.

Yea, the different stamps for different cities is also alittle weird, but we may be just looking too into this.

See if they distributed it during the theater I feel it would have caused more of a ruckus. Imagine all the people who didn't get a stamp on their card and having them arguing that they were apart of the first 300. Also the place in line was changed dramatically when (LA) our group was running back and forth.

Also giving out loot in that location would prove to be an insane task as there is not an easy way of distributing it.

I dont know. I mean, I agree that it would have caused a "ruckus" but I think there was a clear way to solve it. They just say "No stamp, no swag". Easily solved. Sure there would be some angry people, but there would be no way of getting around it. I think they could have jsut handed it to us as we left... I dont know...

I think it might have initially been that, but because of all the crazy crap that happened earlier (with other cities) I think they just determined that they should hand it out at another time. The underestimation of the things fans would do took place and they took the smarter path and decided not to distribute swag.

if they were going to give something and for whatever reason didn't at that point, it only makes sense to me that they would create another opportunity to get it...at least thats what i hope

Ya, I am not saying its a certainty but there is a possibility of it happening, slim as it is.

It's been done before, San Diego, the Prologue, the Dent Mobiles...

It would have been doable in Chicago for sure, we trickled out because we had to sit around and wait for our ziplock baggie containing our phones and camera batteries to have its number called.

I think there will be more swag before this is over, but I don't know how they would get the 300 people with stamped cards back to the same location to redeem their swag... People in Chicago came from all over, including Indianapolis and Green Bay.

If they were going to have Jokermobiles with swag, wouldn't they want to give it out to as many people as possible? And if the people with stamps were to get something special, wouldn't they have taken our contact info?

there are already people pissed off, like some of the oracles, that didn't get squat. I was an oracle for Chicago, I wasn't expecting any swag so I wasn't upset. It would have been nice though.

that does make sence, maybe the stamps will come into play further down the line.

I agree, everything was so crazy, they didn't seem very organized, just mass chaos.

Well contact is simple, they know you are paying attention and don't have to worry about that. If you put up a site that said meet at this point at this time, you will definitely have a lot of people show up.
The location I really don't believe was doable at all because it was too public and easy to get over run.
If they did something like a Joker mobile I envision it out giving regular swag to everybody and people with cards might get something special. So something like that would require a lot of storage and a whole lot more people then 4.

By giving it out to special people, it might incite more people to start following these games to get better stuff. Then that would increase more attention towards the sites.

Well, if there is swag that we were supposed to receive, I doubt they'll throw them into bonfires now. We'll get them later, since if there was enough to distribute in a theater, there's enough to distribute through some other method. Maybe that's when the stamps would come in to play, when they know that we were at these specific locations.

Also, if what Mama_told_me!!! was true, the part where apparently we'll have to remember names of the people running around, then I'm extremely confused as to how that might work. I know some of the goons took pictures which could be used later in the game, although they might just have been doing it for their own collection.

I guess I can kinda see a new viral saying something like "Hey there clowns. Sure was glad to see all your smiling faces. Things came together better than I had planned. All that chaos brought a tear to my eye. Well, I know some of you were lucky enough to get my card baring a special mark. Those of you who were blessed enough to receive one proves that you are loyal to me and should be rewarded, am I right? Go to __________ at __________ for a token of my gratitude."
