Just so we can meet up.
When: 5:30pm, Monday, April 28, although I think we're meeting at 4pm as a group. I think we'll all be able to participate as long as we show up by 5pm.
Where: Courtyard of the Hollywood and Highland Center, or here!
Other notes: Weather in LA for this afternoon looks like mid-80s, dropping to high-70s in the early evening. There is also a large forest fire in the northeast, so be aware of the smoke. Bring water and eyedrops, if you're sensitive to that sort of thing.
Apparently Jimmy Kimmel's show tapes on Hollywood Blvd, so who knows what we're really getting ourselves into!

Hollywood & Highland Notes:
1) Traffic -- At around that time of day on a Monday, traffic will be evil. So please exercise defensive driving. Lots of stupid people drive on Hollywood Blvd. Also, lots of busses. Also, a lot of tourists and unattentive pedestrians at major crosswalks.
2) Metro Red Line-- The Red Line's North Hollywood/Union Station train stops AT Hollywood & Highland. That means, when you get off at that stop, you head up to the street, turn right and keep going until you hit the stairs and escalator that take you toward the large courtyard with the giant elephants. There's plenty of parking at the North Hollywood Stop. There is parking at the Universal City stop, too.
3) Metro by Bus -- Busses. Some of the busses that stop at Hollywood/Highland are: 212/312, 217, 780. Check metro.net to see timetables and the maps.
4) PARKING -- If you're driving, you can try your hand at finding metered parking (but that'd be crazy because by the time you reach the end of the TRAIL-ER, the meter might have run out). You should find lot parking. The nearest one is right UNDER Hollywood & Highland Center. Info on parking prices can be found HERE. VALIDATION should be easily attained at any food-y places in the center (you will probably have to buy something, but ask them beforehand anyway). The maximum is $10 for parking down below (which is inexpensive in Hollywood area). I would say, if you're driving a car to Hollywood, just stick to the parking there. It's simple. It's close. It's not too expensive.
