I guess it's a good thing Duchovny and Anderson never got big enough in film to command big paychecks.

^According to someone with ties to an 'insider', Chris Carter, Gillian Anderson, and David Duchovny are receiving very low upfront salaries in exchange for gross percentage points. They stand to receive millions of dollars each if the film does well.

Right, which is probably why they are all returning to the thing they are known best for.

Ok so that whole werewolf Mulder thing is a bunch of bull**** then? If so then I'm a happy guy.

I wouldn't write anything off as far as X-files goes. X-files was the one show that you usually couldn't out guess. That's what makes it so good.

Since the TV series ended with Mulder and Scully on the run from the FBI and talking about being in communication with the dead, I am curious as to how they will be involved in the events of the movie.

Easy. The movie will take place in a year between 1993 and 2002.

The sequel mirrors the passage of real time since the end of Fox's The X-Files TV show. "The truth is, after all that time, Mulder and Scully were different people, and we were different people, so the 'X-File' we came up with five years ago is still the X-File in the movie, but their personal lives--the state of their relationship, all those things--have changed over time, and that was kind of interesting," Spotnitz said.

Which to some extent was optional, I think. Gillian clearly focused her career more on indy/arthouse stuff and theater. Duchovny´s one attempt at mainstream movie success outside of TXF was the bomb Evolution, but right now he´s enjoying the success of Californication.

i liked Evolution
i think it was a funny movie.

Even reading the url from the link should be considered spoiler!!!

lol- I was thinking the same thing Kanon. In the big picture, I don't really see this as an earth-shattering revelation. As long as I don't know a whole lot other than the basic setup when I go into the theater in July, I'll be happy.

They kissed numerous times in the series, and this takes place 5-6 years later. It's not a spoiler.

They were a couple at the end of the show, that´s no big deal.

So wait...now this happens after the series finale of X-Files??

....so I guess the aliens never invaded after all? WTF?
