Some spoiler shots upon analysis:

At the :22 mark u can clearly make out some kind of transformation going on.

Then later, if you check the weird tattoo guy towards the end. His eyes are pitch black and he has three scars on his face.

Think there might be some kind of animal shape-shifting, perhaps even werewolf going on here.

> Native tattoo on his finger
> Weird indent over his nose

LEOBAN!!!
That's it...I'm seeing it!
It looks like it has connections with the first film...IMO

What happened to the ComicCon trailer? It seemed to have better pacing and a much better end (The "X" and "Believe") from what I remember?

I hope so too, but at the same time, it's been 6 years since we've seen anything new, so even if it does feel like an episode, it'll still be kinda fresh, you know?

That's the way I'm looking at it too. Some of the best episodes from the series were almost like mini-movies anyhow. I'm slightly disappointed that they are likely ignoring the mythology aspect of the show, but after six years, (eight if you choose to ignore the last two seasons, like I do) I'll take anything just as long as it's good.

I still can't believe Fox is releasing this the week after Dark Knight. I really wanted to see this movie do well, because I would like to see a sequel in 2012 to wrap up the colonization story, but releasing it a week after Dark Knight is just asking for trouble.

Just saw the trailer. I would of liked for them to hint at something to what there dealing with in it.

I would rather they keep the storyline a secret. I've already had a decent portion of the Dark Knight spoiled for me, so I'd like to walk into at least one of my highly anticipated movies with absolutely no clue as to what to expect. As long as it's Mulder, Scully, and an X-File, I'm happy.

agreed, but it has a low budget and we know itll be huge on dvd,id be shocked if there wasnt an XFiles3

I liked the trailer as a fan of the show, it gave me that warm nostalgia feeling, it looks like a good episode, not sure it will attract the general audience or the teens that never saw the show though, plus the end part of the trailer was fumbled a bit IMO.

I certainly hope so. It's budget was only $34 million, so it would need to completely bomb to not make a profit. At the very least, if they don't do a sequel, maybe they can do a Fox mini-series in 2012. Just something to give me some closure outside of "yeah, we're all screwed".

Surprisingly, that's the one bit I didn't like. It felt contrived for me.

Entertainment Tonight visited the set. Nothing that new other than David Duchovny had only one chance to read the screenplay, and then had to come to Chris Carter's office for his only chance to work on the dialogue.

They showed a quick clip of Gillain Anderson shouting at a group of surrounding FBI agents. That was all.

Man I'd love Gillain Anderson to shout at me :D

Is it me or do both of them look younger in X-files 2

David Duchovney looks a bit older to me, but Scully looks the same or younger (compared to her look in the series finale). Probably due to the long hair.

what i like most abut this is that it looks like an old episode, and not a continuation of the alien theme or anything, just a new and seperate adventure (i know thats what they're trying to do but you know what i mean)...
