Wow that theatrical trailer rocked my socks off!

The new trailer was much better than the first one.

It's here; it's here! IT'S HERE!!

Lame.

I'm still pumped tho.

I'm getting really tired of that scene. :p

The trailers aren't really pulling me in, but as fan of the show, I'm sure I'll like the final product. I just wish the trailers would be more exciting and have more energy.

This movie is entirely under marketed considering it comes out this summer.

I think the trailers have been faithful to the intended atmosphere of the film and the series in general. The film isn't as epic in scope or nature as was Fight The Future. However, the trailer does contain some intrigue and mystery as to what exactly the film will contain.

Although I do agree, although not bad, the trailers do lack some energy and may not be as exciting as other trailers. But many films have had great trailers and ended up being lackluster. I think in the case of I Want To Believe, substance trumps style.

But you must admit, when Mulder asks "What do you see, Father Joe? Father Joe....." and Father Joe raises his head, that was classic X-Files!

I agree with everything you said. This looks like a good episode of the X-Files, and I as a fan am fine with that. The trailers do go along with the atmosphere of the film/series well.

I just think that the general audience who may not be familiar with X-Files, are not going to get excited by these trailers. This has the potential to restart a new franchise of films, and if Fox would give it that extra push, they can accomplish this and bring on a whole new set of fans. :)

Substance definitely trumps style, but at the same time I think they should make a really exciting trailer to pull in folks who never watched the show. Maybe they will...

I agree

I am very nervous about the film as well! What concerns me is the release date of the film. It's a big gamble releasing the film so close to The Dark Knight. Perhaps this film would have been better off in the late Fall or Winter months.

Chris Carter and company are truly showcasing the X Files to a whole new generation of kids. Kids who do not realize that some of the episodes were better and more imaginative than most films released in Hollywood. Even most fans and critics/bloggers feel jaded about the final seasons of the series, and they downplay the fact that at one period of time, it was considered the greatest television show EVER! People don't realize how much shows like Lost and Alias owe to the X Files.

Regardless, I think we are all in the same boat, we want to relive the glory days of the X Files, when the series was fresh, horrifyingly imaginative and we want to see Mulder and Scully come out on top again, both in the film and the Box Office!

itll kick into gear at the end of june, just like HULK at the end of may and every1 was nervous. now everywhere u turn theres a hulk ad... same with indy, almost no coverage or anything till april and then you cant swing a dead cat without hitting an indy ad on TV... itll be marketed plenty

A few more

The new trailer is being placed before The Happening and The Incredible Hulk.
