Heh, I just watched Home a week ago.

I love how the DVD lets you watch the teaser the way it was intended, with the baby crying as it's being buried. Then when the final shovelful of dirt is thrown on it, "WAAAAHHHH----(bam!)"

I'm a little messed up.

"The Un-natural" Great episode about a forgotten era in sports.

I always hoped they would do another story involving the Eves.

Just bring back Flukeman for XF2.

I think another great episode to watch is Sleepless, it's from season 2.

Another great one. If I had to pick a favorite non-mythology episode, Home, Triangle, and X-Cops would be up there. Another one I loved was Field Trip.

"Beyond the sea" and "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" are excellent too. And "War of the Coprophages" (the one of the cockroaches) and "Jose Chung's From Outer Space" are hilarious.

Doesn't a cockroach crawl across the screen in War of the Coprophages?

it will be all about the story and they dont want to risk if it bombs.if it makes a lot of money then a sequel is 100% plus a bigger budget.

I guess Fox doesn't trust this one... No surprise there.

I agree. If this budget is correct, then I can't see how this film won't be profitable for Fox because even it it grosses only $30 million at the domestic box office, there's overseas, DVD rentals and sales, and I am sure merchandise.

How much do you think Fox will spend marketing it? It's supposed be be released the last Friday in July.

"The budget for the upcoming X-Files movie is approximately half the one of the the original 1998 movie. Since the production cost of that one was apprx. 66 million, the budget for this movie falls in between $25-35 million."

What do you think about the low budget?

Maybe the movie doesn't need a bigger budget... I mean, Cloverfield had a similar budget reported, and there is a lot of destruction going on there, and the monster... This movie won't need a lot of CGI, and probably won't have some big heavy shots like the saucer or the building explosion of the 1998 movie

:p

Seriously, like some, I love the budget. It's got the potential for a ridiculous profit margin for a huge summer movie. And, like dark_b said, that could mean another sequel. Although, I'll hold off on calling for a sequel until I see how this one does in terms of quality.

i want more set pics!

does anyone know if mitch pileggi is in it?

couldnt find anything about it on his imdb :(

Yeah, I think the budget is fantastic. It'll make a huge profit now, you see.

Does anybody know if Doggett and Reyes will be in the film? Or will it just be Scully & Mulder?

I'm sure Pileggi will make an appearance somehow, but I hope he has more to do than in Fight the Future.

Doggett and Reyes, however, I'm betting will not be in this.

i think skinner, besides from mulder,is my fav character ever from x files <3

He has some great episodes as well -- Avatar, Zero Sum, and SR 819, off the top of my head.
