What number of movies out of the total are good solid movies that you enjoy?

I only didn't really like X-men Origins: Wolverine. It's entertaining, but nowhere as good as the others. X-men The Last Stand was a bit disappointing (for me mostly because it was way too short to show some good character development), but I do think at its core it has a very strong theme (the cure) to think about.

I completely understand the movies have there teething issues but on the whole I like all
Them enough and think they are good enough to warrant 6/6 because I can simply watch any, anytime

Your username :lmao:

X1 - Good
X2 - Good
X3 - Bad
Origins - Bad
First Class - Good
The Wolverine - Good

X3 is entertaining and exciting, but watched after X1 and X2 (as I did at an all-night marathon in London, attended by Sir ian McKellen), the drop in quality is pretty obvious.

same case with me.

but I have a hard time getting excited with X3, knowing the movie should have been 100% better than that. Starting with danger room sequence, and how Rogue and Colossus didnt even talk. and then the subway hall, I just didnt like the dialogue in many scenes.

I cant with Rogue-Bobby little scene some minutes later. aghhh, so bad and forced. Thats not the Rogue Singer was building. I hate that scene

I agree. I feel like the X-Men films could have been bigger in scope. All the material from the comics could've made these films epic; Sentinels, Apocalypse, Phoenix, et., It's clear that under Singer X3 was going to be the X-Men film and movie to beat in the box office maybe in 2005 if if got green lit in time.

I think as fans, people feel cheated in terms of characters and how so many of them were portrayed. The X-Men series could have been the recipe for others to follow and be one of the best comic book franchises, it still is 13 yrs running, but you can't notice where the series took a dive...

yeah.

But fortunately, DOFP seems to be the movie to change that.
Im sure Rogue, Colossus and Iceman will shine more than ever, and obviously, 10 times better than in X3, both in dialogue and action.

and just to see characters like Bishop, Blink and Quicksilver on the big screen... it would be awesome

For me

X-Men - Good
X-Men 2 - Excellent
X-Men 3 - Poor
Origins - Poor
First Class - Great
The Wolverine - Good

For 4/6 for me

X1- my initial reaction was WOW!!! After repeat viewing and as time passed it honestly doesn't hold up as well...still qualifies as good though, especially since it was a trailblazing effort at its time. (Good)

X2- this movies holds up the best of the bunch over time! Initial viewing reaction was extremely positive and that's still my take so yeah, obviously I'm ranking this good. (Excellent)

X3- initial reaction was, "wtf"...boooo but surprisingly the more I've seen it over time the more I've actually liked it and found a nice base for a good story. Tweaks here and there and that could have been a much better movie. Through time I was able to see the movies potential and after repeat viewings I found myself rather enjoying it so I would surprisingly rank this as good as well (although it could have been much better). (Good)

Origins- initial reaction booooo and after repeat viewings, well let me keep it real cuz there have been no repeat viewings once was more than enough... (****)

FC- solid story telling with moderate character development all in all good. It seems to hold up well after time so that's a huge plus (great)

Wolverine- initial reaction, "well that's more like it"...good effort. (Great)

So I would say 5/6 and obviously some movies are a lot better than others but in my eyes they were all entertaining and while deeply flawed there was enough good to leave me with a more positive feeling than negative- except of course origins that was complete garbage.

As a fan of Gambit and Storms this entire franchise has been difficult for me. My two favorite X-Men have been is treated and mishandled that in order for me to have positive feelings about the movies I just have to put that aside and enjoy the movies for what they are and not be disappointing in what they aren't....

Great point. I think too many people dwell on what they aren't rather than appreciate what they are

X-Men has decades of stories and tons of characters. Being able to do them all right, is impossible in movie format imo.

I have great respect for Singer for adapting most of the characters featured as well as he did.

I know people want to see their favoutrite characters done well but in many cases it's too difficult. Look at Cable, can't be done without alot of pre-requisites already in place.

X1: Good
X2: Great
X:TLS: Awful
XO:W: Awful
X:FC: Ok
TW: Great

X-Men: Great
X2: Excellent
TLS: Good
O:W: Good
FC: Excellent

Haven't seen The Wolverine yet, so, for now, the franchise overall gets a 5/5 rating from me.

X2 was decent so I guess 1/6 even though I'm really not much a fan of that movie.

4/6-with good films being X-Men,X2(The Best) X-Men first CLass,The Wolverine

I can enjoy all of them to some degree. With that said, I don't really consider X3 or Origins to be very good movies despite being able to find things I like about them. The rest are very good to great. Here are my personal ratings for each film:

X-Men: 7.5/10
X2: 8.5.10
X3: 6/10
Origins: 3/10
First Class: 8/10
The Wolverine: 7/10

My honest ranking of the movies thus far

X-2: X-Men United - Awesomely amazing
X-Men: First Class - Awesome
X-Men - Great
The Wolverine - Surprisingly decent
X-Men: The Last Stand - Huge disappointment
X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Horrible

I'd go with 5 out of 6.

X-Men: Good
X2: Great
X-Men: The Last Stand: Disappointing, but it has its moments so I don't consider it a bad movie.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine: Bad
X-Men: First Class: Great
The Wolverine: Good

I put 5/6, but you might be a bit surprised...

X1 - Great
X2 - Great
X3 - Terribly disappointing
XO:W - Dumb fun, but nothing amazing.
X:FC - Great
TW: Great

Will be interesting to see how this poll turns out compared to the Marvel one on the other board, very interesting.

X2- Great
X-Men- Good
The Wolverine- Good
X-Men: First Class- Good
X-Men: The Last Stand- Mediocre
X-Men Origins: Wolverine- Bad

4/6
