If you want storm in her own spin off there is simply only one way to do it, BLACK PANTHER... Because the two characters are twined together in recent comics, it would be a perfect use of Ororo Monroe's character and her envolvement with the black panther... Firstly because you can make it a somewhat sequel to the x-men franchise not a prequel, the story of Black Panther could be told from Storms perspective... Just think of how Wolverine was introduced to the x-men world in the first x-men movie, it would be storms return to her roots only to find the mysterious rule of the black panther.

Guys guys guys guys ! guess what! i got the perfect storm!

Halle berry !, and check this out ! shes already been storm so shazam! plus shes hot!

The reason why i thought Halle failed as storm, was not her fault and i see that now, IT WAS FOX's !......these actors should have gone through a lot more preperation for their role, Halle should have got african accents down pack along with storms attitude....Hugh jackman playing as wolverine was not a huge jump for him why? ill tell you why, most of his films are those kind of roles, being a badass, Huge jackman wasn't playing wolverine, he was playing his usual self, he can jump into it naturaly.........i think most other actresses would have failed as storm too had they not undergone the proper training

Lets face it, some of the actors in the films were damn good actors and actresses, and ive seen several films before that failed despite having all A-list actors and actresses in them.....i dont blame Halle, i blame fox, and whoever wrote the crap lol

Halle berry is an A-list actress, she is arguably the best choice for Storm because of that, if she fails in a film its their fault, not hers, same if Hugh jackman or anyone else fails in a movie, but he could have never failed as wolverine, its his usual role, and he had more screentime than anyone while most other characters personalities was just thrown together

Not saying terrible actors and actresses dont exist, they do, but Halle should have nailed storm, she didnt, fox fault, THEY didnt get storm right, i believe Halle had somewhat of an african accent in one film, and then fox felt like they didn't give a damn so they stopped Halle from even having the accent, fox half assed the movie

atfirst i wanted to blame the actors, but now i see its fox

I mean Anna might not quite look like Rogue........but look at her now, she's playing a southern chick on True Blood, she was probably the best and the only choice at the time

same goes for Cyclops, James Marsden is a great actor, he was playing cyclops, a MAJOR X-men thats supposed to be a leader and involved in everything, where was cyclops script? he was off screen more than he was on it, its clear the films were about wolverine lol, with that much of a small script how can a character develope at all?

when i think of X-men i think of Catwoman, overall excellent cast (with some exceptions, i'm looking at you Kitty & Bobby & Pyro), but ******ed writing

She is an A list actor and she's great but don't the actors decide where they would like to go with their character. If she was truely into her character she would've been trying to push for the african acent and all, the only thing I've heard she did was ask to fly more which was a plus but I would've loved the accent and a bit more but I enjoyed her as Storm.

Where did you see that Fox decided that the accent would not stay with her throughout the trilogy.

Catwoman was horribly written, the plot was horribly written, her acting was not bad, ive watched several Halle berry films in the past, she's good at what she does......sometimes a great actor/actress can't make a **** movie fantastic

again......entire A-list cast have been put together in films before and they still sucked

Anyway on-topic, i dont see many of the X-men getting their own films, the only other marvel character that could really work as a seperate hero is, duh Sentry

This sounds personal, I mean everyone has their opinions but its kind of hard to deny that her acting is amazing in the right roles For examples: "Losing Isaiah", "Things We Lost In The Fire". And although I didn't see "Monster's Ball" you dont win an oscar for just having a great sex scene.

Lol Academy is blind these days man oscars mean nothing anymore they give those awards to soo many people who did not deserve it. I bet you if Heath Ledger did not die that oscar would of went to someone esle.

And Berry has average acting skills. I do not wanna hear that she good when in the right roles bull crap a great actor makes any movie she in atleast watchable. Will Smith some of the bad movies he been in atleast made the film watchable cause of him.

^ I didnt say she is just "good" in the right roles I said she is amazing. And you said she sucks as an actress then went and said shes average (which is it?) Every movie that I've seen her in she has been pretty good in with the exception of Catwoman and even then I found her scenes with Benjamin Bratt good so...
But ya know its either a hit or miss to some people with Halle Berry. But to say she sucks as an actress because she alone cant save a movie is off...in that case Angelina Jolie sucks cause she definately didnt save "Tomb Raider 2", Morgan Freeman also sucks cause he sure didnt save "The Bucket List", and Samuel Jackson sucks because he didnt save "The Spirit" and regardless of what you say Will Smith sucks because he did not help make "Wild Wild West" any good. None of these "great" actors made their bad movies "watchable" so they all suck right? I think not.
But its your opinion and you're entitled to it, just don't try to state it like it's a fact.

On a side note: I dont dispute what you said about Heath and even though I would of been pulling for him to win you never know how the final result would have been had he been alive

IMO XMO: Storm would work if it took a dramatic tone, like Blood Diamond meets Underworld... a dramatic action film... vs. a chessy peep show which relies on the star's attractiveness and name to carry the film

Ya know i definately stand on the side that believes she isnt right for the Storm in the comics but by no means will I blame her because the character in the film and the character in the comics are two completely different characters and that is more Singer's fault then it is hers.

Instead of making an origin film for Storm. I think its better if they just focus on her and her roots in the next X-Men film after DOFP. Its gonna be more marketable than Halle Berry starring in her own spin-off film.
