X-Men - Part 1

Is everyone waiting for Schism to end before deciding which books to continue?
what do you mean? Continue to read? I hope Marvel has some definitive plans/purposes for each book. Everything has been way too free and loose. I'll probably decide what to follow once I know more about where they are heading. Right now Im reading UXM, UXF, XML, NM and X-23. I'll most likely still be reading those

3 issues into Schism and we have no idea who goes where or why.

Right now I'm reading UXM, UXF, X-Men, Legacy, and New Mutants.

After Schism, it will be UXM, Wolverine and the XM, UXF, and New Mutants. I dropped Gen Hope a long time ago and plan on dropping X-Men and Legacy.

Right now i'm reading.... hmm. Yeah, I kinda stopped reading the x-book a few months back. Sometime after nightcrawler died.

I may come back if they have a plan. finally.

You might as well wait until the inevitable event that brings the team back together.

Nope. I buy most of 'em now and I'll most likely get most of 'em after Schism(minus AXM and Generation Hope, which I don't read now)

Yes. I am wanting to thin down on some titles and I'm waiting to see who lands where. I really want Gambit in Logan's book, that would be a big help to me. I will of course keep X-Force and X-Factor since those books still rock.

I'm thinking WatX, Legacy, and X-force. In fact, I'm looking to get the uncanny x-force hardcovers.

For me, likely most everything. In fact, the easier list is to say this... I will not be getting Wolverine. I most likely will not be getting Astonishing X-Men.

That's as far as I've made it so far.

You know I hardly ever pick up X-books anymore. The whole damn X-saga just feels like a big sprawling mess, and not the good kind of sprawling mess either. Granted the rest of the Marvel universe isn't much better in that regard. Or DC for that matter.

When Jean comes back his gonna leave Storms ass and go running back to her again :cwink:

As Mr Kanye West put it

"But when you get on, he leave yo' ass for a white girl"
Hell he may not even wait for Jean to come back (if she ever does - probably not in our lifetime). When he's done with Storm he'll probably go after Rogue, or he may go after Kitty.

I've been reading UXM,UXF(My personal favorite) and XL.I'll probably stick with the latter two and get UXM and WATX in trade if I hear good things.

I'll more than likely be dropping Astonishing once Pak comes onboard, unless a flip through his first issue particularly blows me away. And I might drop Uncanny if Gillen keeps sucking on it post-Schism. I'll give it the same number of issues I'm promising the DC Relaunch books - at least a #1, since the X-franchise interests me in general, and then further issues based on continued interest and quality. Whether I continue with Legacy will depend on who replaces Carey, and I don't read X-Men to begin with since Gischler's writing sucks. How the man is a novelist and has no ear for dialogue astounds me.

The X-franchise is something I have to seriously consider trimming, though. I'm going to be heavier into DC with the relaunch, and even if I only keep with 50-75% of the titles I'm buying #1s of, I've got to cut some Marvel, because I refuse to cut independents. At least with those, the $3.99 I pay is fueling good and interesting stories.

Say it ain't so

Considering the strength of current DC writing, and the strength of a number of creative teams on the relaunch, it damn well sure is so, boyo.

Here's the poster as it currently stands

But...but...Cable's coming back :(
If he gets a solo book again, I'll probably give it a try. Same rules as the other #1s. Much as I love Cable, I'm sure as hell not going to blindly read a book for him and risk another run like Swierczynski. ****ing space sharks.

And I might drop Generation Hope depending on Asmus's writing. I didn't even know that book was getting a change-up.

I just noticed the Blue side is on Utopia. Where the heck do the Gold go?

All that's left is [BLACKOUT]X-Factor[/BLACKOUT]

If they even pick a side.

Loeb/McGuinness are on Cable lol.

Nothing short of Hope dying or her underlings being replaced with the Academy-X books could get me to read that.
