Ok, I lied, this event has gone no where in 5 issues. I'm out.

No, it inched forward a little in part 5. Now if they would have got to this point around part 3, maybe the event wouldn't feel so blah.
 
I agree. I think part 5 brought the event back on course. This little turning point in part 3 would've been a lot nicer. It's by no means a great event, but I'm still kinda enjoying it.

And this is the line of the year for me...

Bury me in chimichangas.

A little tease at the end is barely "inching" forward. I'll catch the recaps on wikipedia.
 
Don't blame you. Sadly, I could never pass on X-Men. I've not missed an issue in 21 years no matter how much I like or dislike it. If I can make it past Morrison's ending, I can make it past this boring stuff.
 
throughout the uncanny/x-men years, I was the same way, had every issue of the 2 main X-books
these days there is just too damn many "main" teams to buy them all
not to mention that ANXM comes out, like, every 3 days or something

my pull list is sad these days: Uncanny Avengers, Thor: GOT, and W&TXM
it sucks being all grown up and sh**, havin' to pay bills instead of keepin up with my comics!

Yeah, it finally started moving forward again, but it does annoy me that it took it that long to get to it. Funny that it seems like it's the non-Bendis written issues that keep the story moving along, even taking mini-shots at the stereotypes of things like Storm saying she's tired of the X-Men on X-Men fights.

I should probably adjust my original statement. I don't buy EVERYTHING X-Men anymore (not since their 3rd ongoing title stopped being relevant), but I always keep up with the main X-Men books that matter. Currently, that's All New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men. Everything else is subject to being dropped if I'm not enjoying it enough.

w&txm is only on my list cuz I could not at all stand reading two books featuring Cyclops

I like the new X-MEN, but unfortunately, BotA stalled it out right outta the gate
 
How the heck is teen Jean the most powerful/skillful psychic around?
It seems kind of ridiculous that in a battle against the older experienced Jean, she was able to beat her yet the combined forced of Emma and the three cuckoos couldn't. Teen Jean has only had access to her TP for a few weeks and very little training so the outcome that we saw seemed very implausible
 
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

Older Jean did mention that she forgot how powerful young Jean was at that age, so maybe she'd lost some of the raw power by then... but then why does she need the Xorn mask to help her contain her powers? And after beating Emma and the Cuckoos? Garbage.

After the first arc, Cyclops has only returned to All New for a 2-part story prior to Battle of the Atom. It pretty much focuses on the O5 with the Jean Grey Academy staff bouncing off of them. The Original Cyclops is actually a little refreshing... a blast from the past as he was intended.

Agreed. I'm gonna assume older Jean was just tired after taking down Emma and the Cuckoos(God, I loved seeing Emma get destroyed!)

This new set of future X-Men look interesting. Wizard Iceman and pervy mustache Colossus FTW.
 
"Ice-Wizard" has caught my eye. I'm assuming that's Bobby and the Ice Hulk is Original 5 Bobby who stayed. Either that or a savage living ice-clone like the ones Bobby's been making lately.
 
I'm wondering who the guy with Cloak's cloak is, since it's obviously not the original Cloak, since it's not the same color cloak, he's using magic, and he's, ya know, white.

I'm hoping that the girl with the panther isn't some future child of Storm and T'Challa.
 
Ice-Wizard, Crazy stache Colossus, and Wild Thing (?) from MC2 can stay.


Any character that possibly is related to Black Panther bores me to tears, but that's because Black Panther bores me to tears.
