X-Men - Part 6

What X-Men events? The last X-Men event was AvX, wasn't it? And that was the Avengers "hijacking" it based on your logic.

AvX was 4 years ago. The X-men have had several events since then, with the most recent one being Apocaylpse Wars this past spring

OK, I wasn't counting mini-events that exist only in the X-Books. I was only talking about Marvel-wide events (since I thought one of the issues is the X-Men are being isolated and not included enough).

well Inhumans vs X-men doesnt look like some big Marvel wide event either. Its not going to be as expansive as AvX for example. It looks to be on a similar level to the other X-men events since AvX

Avengers certainly hijacked the Hope storyline, leading to AvX. No way was Messiah Complex and Messiah War leading to a story about Hope getting trained by Iron Fist of all things.

They were involved in Axis.

Anyway, I am interested in the X-men vs Inhumans event. It is about one of the interesting things about the new status quo that separates it from post-House of M. Plus finding out what actually happened with Cyclops.

Anyways, it is always fun to see it when it is revealed, that no, Marvel is not cancelling the X-books.

YAY! They aren't canceling Extraordinary and Uncanny! So thats five comic-books this October!

Inhumans vs X-Men from Charles Soule and Jeff Lemire:

The Inhumans finally have a book that people might actually buy. Maybe.

When will be launch Inhumans vs X-Men? After or before than Death of X-Men?

That would be the genocide of mutants, the excuse to Marvel put X-Men in second plan but...

Yesterday i read in a fórum that the Marvel was thinking about give a step back with this project (Inhumans substitute the X-Men) because would arise the possibility to Fox to divide some profits of the movies with the Disney.

Is it true? Someone heard this too?

This explain the cancellation of the Inhumans film and the freedom to use they in MAoS.

What do you think?

Inhumans vs X-men will be after Death of X.

And Marvel isn't killing off the mutants. Fox gets nothing from comic sales. The only thing they can get from the X-men comics is potentially new characters, IF they were created for an X-men book. No, this event would not give Fox a claim to any Inhumans movies. Otherwise, Fox would've gotten something from Avengers due to AvX.

The only issue could be some weird, strange way they divided up the rights when they were sold. Given the Kang situation, it wouldn't surprise me.

I read this somewhere, from the Inhumans movie section, Fox had the movie rights for Inhumans but the rights expired and at one point, someone from Marvel offered Fox to do an Inhumans movie but Fox just passed it up.

I'm doubtful of that. I've never heard that stated before and I've been following the rights stuff closely.

yeah that doesnt make sense. If Fox had the rights to the Inhumans it would fall under the FF umbrella, which they currently still have. Inhumans was never really its own franchise and its not something they purchased separate from FF. You better beleive they would have put out a movie, even if it were crappy if that were the case. You dont spend millions on these deals and do absolutely nothing with them

The only thing Ive ever heard was speculation that Fox had access to Crystal and that made sense considering how intimately her origin is tied to the FF and specifically Johnny

I only saw a link of that from the Inhumans section here in SHH.

But i think that will not happen because Disney already did this with X-Men (decrease his importance in the comics). Who will ensure that Disney couldn't do this will Inhumans too?

Some of the DoX art already released was by Kuder, so he already started most likely, they probably just finalized his exclusivity deal

Well I've never been a fan of Rachel Grey. She feels like a Jean knock-off to me and for some reason, she was never really popular especially compare to Emma and Psylocke and she's been in the comics even before those two became X-Men. But it was kinda cool to see her back again. Because after Uncanny 600. The only mutants that I saw besides the main roster of Uncanny/All-New/Extraordinary are Beast, Frenzy, Gambit, Shen Xorn, Sunfire and the other C-tier students. While Elixir and Namor were both killed. I wanna see Northstar, Jubilee, Polaris, Warbird and Havok again. I don't know what happened to Bishop, didn't read those X-Force comics.

Someone never read Excalibur. :o

She's much better than Jean in every way. She has constant innuendo with Kitty, kicks ass all over the place and is actually interesting in relationships where Jean is kind of just there.

All the Grey/Summers kids are better than Jean.

Ive always thought she was a poor man's Jean Grey as well. She didnt get as popular as those you mentioned bc for the longest time no writer really cared about her outside of Claremont. Even then he did her no favors when he brought her back to the X-fold as her characterization and writing was dreadful with her throwing tantrums and acting like a 12 year old about Scott and Jean who werent really her parents. The writing for her has been better in recent years from what I've seen but not enough for me to care about ehr.
