For those upset about the possibility of Cyclops dying, does't the imdb review at least give some of you hope? I mean, it's pretty clear(to me anyway) that the hospital scene he's describing after the credits involves Cyclops in some capacity. They probably shot that scene just so he can come back if there's an X4 and to appease all the fans upset about him dying.

Check out the cyclops thread about what that dude who "supposedly" saw the film says about Cyke...if true, get your pitch forks out.

I'm sure the film is complete by now but we're still probably seeing unfinished FX work in tv spots.

The review is vague and says stuff we already know. Whether its real or not I dunno.

He says Colossus, Rogue, Bobby, Kitty, and Beast are barely in the film.

X3 wasn't shot digitally.

But my point was that Lucas has the means to make sudden changes at the last minute with his film because he answers to no one. Ratner, on the other hand, answers to Fox. If they say we want the film by May 1, that's it. It has to be done. No more changes because they have to do all the international prints and such.

To tell you the truth, because of doing international dubbing and making enormous amounts of prints for this film, this film was probably finished in the last week of April.

I'm not so sure. They work right up to the wire these days. Some of FF was shot a few days before release!

Ian McKellen said on a talk show he'd just shot additional scenes for X3 and that was only a few days ago. I'm sure early versions do exist, but not the final one yet.

I think this review is fake. But even so, I'd never see anything if I based it on reviews I read. Everything gets ripped to shreds somewhere these days. They have some generic reviewer who sees everything despite being a fans of only certain types of films. I work in the media and our main movie reviewer was away when Spider-Man came out - they sent some sports writer instead and he tore it apart, saying 'he keeps swinging from skyscrapers'. I said - well, isn't that what Spider-Man's supposed to do? It's like going to see Titanic and moaning that the ship sinks.

The high-brow culture newspapers and magazines will all hate X3, because they will always hate this kind of movie. The tabloids will love it. Most specialist film magazines will be hesitant about Ratner, nostalgic about Singer, unsure about Halle and Vinnie and give it a respectable but not high rating.

Whatever is said, I shall go to see it. I do accept that there may be parts I do not like, as there were for X1 and X2 and just about every other movie I've ever seen.

Loved Kong (but it was too long), loved Narnia (but it was too much of a kids' movie), loved V for Vendetta (but it got muddled in the middle). Loved Batman Begins (but the friend i went with hated it, he wanted all that camp and colourful stuff from the previous movies and the TV series), was not overly keen on FF (the friend i went with loved it, it was cheesy enough for him!)...

lol Anyways, we should get back on topic. I don't know how we went from X-Men to Star ****es.

Reminds me of when Fez says "Oh I can't wait to see Star ****es." lol funny.

On topic: -sniffs- yeah. Good luck with that but I smell a fake.

X3 Review

So the first question you are probably wanting me to answer, was it bad? no, it wasn't, but... Was it great? no.... this movie is an average summer flick. Unfortunetly, it is a let down from the level of qaulity it's predicissors left. When I went into this film, I wasn't expecting much, and when I left, I didn't feel much. My main problem with the film is it seemed very rushed, many new characters were not developed, and the action scenes, while impressive in size and quantity, were not as crisp in the FX department and as emotional as I would like. Plot wise, this movie felt like it wasn't trying to take the X-Men world a step forward, it just seems like the writters were fine in not moving the story along as far as they should of.
The plot of the movie is this; a mutant cure is developed, while many mutants see this as a solution to their problem, many do not. Enter now, Magneto, played by Sir Ian Mckellon, he is 100% opposed to the cure, and remember the war he talked about in the 1st movie, well it is fought in this film (not as big as one would suspect). Along with the cure plotline, we have the return of Jean Grey (Famke Jansen), but she is not who she was in the first two movies, this time around she's bad, and when I say bad, she makes Magneto seem like a choir boy.
There are many things I just didn't care for in this movie, one being the character deaths. Many characters die here, and I am honeslty bothered about why they would kill off the ones they did? Also, Halle Berry, while great to look at, doesn't bring much more to the table in her knew role as the "X-Men Leader". Hugh Jackman, as ussual, is great as Wolverine, same goes for Patrick Stewart and much of the main supporting cast. Kelsey Grammar is Beast, that's all I'm going to say about that character.
The action scenes were fun to watch, even when the Specail FX weren't as good as they should have been. I was let down by the climax, since the first X-Men, we've been waiting for the big "X-Men/Brotherhood" battle, fortnetly, this does take place, but its not as big as one would hope.
All in all, this movie is decent, another 30 minutes of runtime wouldn't hurt, being that this movie is not much more then 90 minutes long. Also, don't let those "this is the last stand" rumors ruin your day, the movie leaves room for an X4, lets just say, something is "Sinster" about the end. So basically, go in to this movie expecting a fun time, but don't expect much more....

Actually, he said he just rerecorded some dialogue. That's all.

And he says that Jean isn't in it all that much. BS. I wanna shove this guy into a firey pit and then Phoenix can unleash her powers on this fool. Who's he trying to fool? No one. not me. I don't believe him one bit.

Some argue that vaguness is a sign that the review is legit. Either way, we do know that people have reviews. Major magazines will be releasing theirs on the 16th, and a few news stations were broadcasting that they've seen the movie and want to tell you about it...

Good point but the earliest press screenings we are aware of are this Thursday.

A disclaimer has now appeared on the website. Shortly after i contacted the site and also contacted Fox. The review was 'submitted anonymously'.

where is this from?

And I don't think the cliffhanger will be Sinister. People don't know who Sinister is, and everyone will be like "wtf kinda weird ending was that?"

That sounds fake and says everything we already know.

Unfortunately - or perhaps fortunately - i do not get chance to view movies with Joel Schumacher. But overcoming the hurdle of previous images of Batman (60s TV series, the earlier movies) was something the movie had to do. The public isn't that aware of Batman's darker origins.
