yea, i would love a director's cut. i like the movie as it is, editing and all to be honest, i just wish the phat/iceman/colossus scene and extended juggernaut/wolverine fight were included into what is already there

I've been busy with my exams lately, so I haven't had the time to upload the last clips.

The last 3 clips are of the final battle with Storm's wave and Bobby freezing Phat reinserted, the extended Dark Phoenix destruction, and the ending montage, with the alternative endings for Rogue and Beast reinserted.

Especially for those who have the dvd with only 10 deleted scenes!

if an extended /recut version IS released i vote for

-somehow xavier's speach integrated into the beginning of the movie like the first 2
-jimm's extra scene should be put in before beast sees him, i think a little earlier then what wideawake proposed, although that works too, it just seems a little rushed
-the extended jean's house fight
-pyro coming to tell magneto about the announcement (without beard preferably)
-the scene with everybody getting ready to bord the x-jet, there are 2 different versions. i'd like to see a very well combined edited version of them, including the parts where wolverine says you may not come home and also we stand together, x-men. i think it could be made into a longer talk
-personally i like the little piece of how the plastic guns were made, i feel that could be added in cleverly
-jean sensing the scared girl on the bridge
-frozen phat and storms wave (effects look good as is- if they were improved GREAT)
-magneto asking for jean's help
-extended phoenix destruction (makes sense)

and possibly any other deleted/extended scenes we haven't seen (i'm sure there were things not shown originally that were deleted...if not oh well)

personally i think magneto asking for jean to help is something needed...what other purpose would she have to be there? BUT i think he should say the whole pawns first part and then look to her to help, i think that would flow much much better

that would be like what...somewhere near MAYBE 5 minutes longer? assuming there are more deleted scenes included that we haven't seen already.

just as long as there isnt' any alternate versions of what already exist...i want an extended version with everything as is, expanded upon.

the elektra director's cut was only 3 or 4 minutes longer so there isn't a minumum amount of time to be extended (where as fantastic four, spider-man 2.1, daredevil, and ghost rider are all over 5 minutes)

maybe not so much the boarding the x-jet sequences. i've just always liked the part where he says magneto's got an army out there, you may not come home, she may not come home, you ready for that? it's powerful but i do like the regular way it is in the movie


beast breaking a neck, i liked that, it's not graphic or anything, if you can practically see quills going into a woman and xavier being shredded to bits then a quick snap isnt' bad.
and beast and trask talking on the phone, i think that is appropriate as well, makes more of a logical reason for beast to help the x-men out himself

In the theatrical cut, was Wolvie's torture by Magneto shown? I thought it was, but in the dvd it showed up as a deleted scene.. I think it wasawesome to show that as it gives comic book readers some tribute when Magneto tortured Wolvie to the point where he took the adamantium out in the comics.

It turned out that some copies in the U.S. did have the 21 deleted scenes and 3 alternate endings like the other regions.

Other regions got a two disc set though. They got more extras like docs and featurettes that we didn't get get here in the U.S. with the one disc.

I got one with all the deleted scenes (21 as opposed to 10) and the 3 alternate endings as did several members here.

During one part on the DVD there is a shot of filming on the set in which we seee Storm on the balcony talking about 'in the village where i grew up, my powers were seen as a gift' or something like that... which ties in more strongly to why she was feeling frustrated and oppressed when on that balcony, and ties in then to why she was feeling that way when Nightcrawler spoke to her on the jet in X2.

- The original version of the X-Men boarding the jet

- Bobby & Colossus v Phat
- The extended Dark Phoenix destruction
- And the alternate endings of Beast staying on at the school and Rogue's Return (uncured)

Various things were said. Kinberg said in the xverse Q&A sessions that they always knew this would be a shorter movie than X2.

I can understand though that different writers and a different director (than in the first two movies) will inherently mean differences, no matter how hard they try to follow someone else....and there would be even more differences if those people set out to make their mark and add their own unique signature to a movie rather than slavishly imitate everything that had been done before.

I do hope we get an X-tended Cut. Mei Melancon spoke in magazine interviews of her fight scenes, none of which made the movie or the deleted scenes (presumably the FX were not finished), we saw a camera filming Storm talking of her African origins (not presented as a proper deleted scene), and there is obviously a lot more that didn't make the movie.

Ratner obviously decided on scenes being included or not in many cases - he chose the scene of Rogue having taken the cure over the one where she says she hadn't.

I wonder if the film would have had a better reception from critics and the online fans if it had been longer. It should certainly have been aiming at the $600m mark for box office takings - i wonder if a longer movie would have helped.
