X3 in the press - The Official Magazines thread

Ok... I have a question. You know that magazine from Asia, First? Well, I wanted all 3 covers. I looked on EBay and someone has all of them, but I believe they are being really greedy! The 'Buy It Now' is $12.97 per issue. Then I asked them how much shipping would be to the US from Asia. They told me $26, or $23, GBP. Not sure why they gave it to me in British pounds. That comes to about $46, or $43, US. You cannot tell me that it is THAT much to get the magazines here. Just wanted to get someone else's opinion. I am so not paying that though.

I wouldn't buy any magazine for that much. Besides it's the same pictures we've seen. Nothing new. You wouldn't understand the language any way.

You're correct. The magazine is published in english.

I would wait a while before purchasing some of these magazines. The price will go down just look at the Wondercon posters.

I know they will ... I just have this REALLY bad habit of wanting things when they come out ... I am a dork!

I know the feeling. It's very tempting at first but 2 weeks later you regret it because someone else is selling it for half the price.

Yea, I felt that way when I got the Phoenix 'Take a Stand' Wondercon poster, feeling that I overpaid. But luckily it was damaged in shipping and I got a refund for it, then was able to get one about $30 cheaper. Not sure it is a habit I will ever break.... but not having a job has been a good enough reason lately

I wonder how many people are regretting the money the paid for the wondercon posters. I saw some go for a couple hundred bucks.

Da Vinci Code is the second movie I'm looking forward to the most this summer. X-men 3 is the first.

I do not think it will 'flop' persay ... It does not seem to take much to consider a movie a flop these days. However, I do think it will be called a disappointment. It will still bring in a good amount of money, but not what was expected.

I seriously, seriously doubt DVC will flop, or disappoint in any sense of the word. The trailer looks stunning, and the fact that the book did extremely well.

It's one the most talked about movies since Passion of The christ I know a lot of people who are going to see it + having Tom Hanks as star is not going to hurt.

I don't really "hope" any movie to flop. Even if it looks like ****.

And I highly doubt it will flop or be a dissapointment. And if it doesn't do as well, then I'd expect X-3 to end up about the same BO-wise then. And POTC and SR and the rest.

I doubt DVC will flop. I don't expect it to break any records but everyone who's read the book will probably want to see the film.

Da Vinci Code, Poseidon and Superman are going to all do less than expected.

Superman's new trailer has gotten alot of bad word of mouth from non fans. ALOT.

And Da Vinci is getting a lot of ''I'm waiting for DVD for that one."

and Poseidon just looks like a dumb summer flick.

I can't really put people's words to me or anyone else for that matter over the internet. Soo, you'll just have to go one with your actual proof, it's sad to say.

I'm just going by what I'm hearing from friends/customers/family.

I actually know of a friend/fellow employee who was sitting right beside me during MI:3 laughing his ass off as Supes trailer. He turned and looked at me and said. ''Man, that **** is so cheesy looking."
