Let's turn back the clock two years, to the last time a world champion vs world champion match mattered: CM Punk vs John Cena at Summerslam 2011. :D

It's nice to watch Cena wrestle his true best rival on the current roster.

Well, people seem to like Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad.....not so much WWE.

Do you think if they did the above suggestion that the mainstream would by extension embrace WWE again with open arms?

I don't know. As much as those two shows are well loved, The WWE would be accused of copying them.

What's also dumb about this is: WHAT THE HELL IS SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN AT ELIMINATION CHAMBER 2014!?

Oh, that's easy...

Triple-H makes Cena put his belt up for grabs at Elimination Chamber, where The Authority picks out give hand-selected heels to beat Cena, but of course, he eliminates then all.

Which then leads to Triple H challenging Cena, in which they fight for the next thousand years since neither of them want to lose, especially not Triple H.

Well I don't mean rip their plots off, I just mean develop an engaging drama mythos with lengthy matches but not many matches in a "less is more" approach. With Motives, backstories, characterization, and themes being at the forefront. Which would also give TV an approach on a silver platter because then they'd be free to take the "back to basics" approach for the fans that don't want "TV drama".

The Attitude Era in WWF and early NWO days in WCW did an amazing job of balancing stories and matches, IMO. Why can't it be done now?

Not sure. The main event roster and roster in general isn't nearly as dense.

So the main event tonight is supposed to be the contract signing between Cena and Orton for TLC.

Yeah, THAT will bring in the rating when you're up against a major football game. :whatever:

And that main event sure screams #BUYS. :whatever:

Especially a major football game with major playoff ramifications.

I will be surprised if tonight's Raw does better than last week.

Given ROH's current situation, I wish PWG ran more shows and eventually get a TV deal. Guys show off way more personality in PWG than they do in ROH nowadays IMO.

They're starting off with CM Punk. Smart move. :applaud
