You Know Nothing Jon Snow

that's exactly how I feel about JON lol

That synchronised Jon and Robb head turn still makes me laugh.

I can't wait for they have planned for Jon, he is one of my favourite characters, alongside Tyrion, Arya, Dany and Jaime.

heres to hoping ghost does more... they have rarely used the direwolves... when they do (fighting) its jsut a split second ... and its great and all but the RW and War at the Wall were great opportunities to truly show their capabilities etc.... though Summer and Shaggydog had a good little bit in season 3.

Definitely agree. It's one thing that has always kind of bothered me, that (at least in my view/opinion) the direwolves have seemed to get shafted in favor of the dragons.

Neither the dragons nor the wolves do much fighting. The biggest problem with the wolves is they need actual physical interaction with their targets as opposed to breathing fire from a distance. That is why all their violence is implied. That cost money and time.

Summer killing the assassin is still the best-looking use of a direwolf imo.

The funny thing is that in the books it was implied that Jon is capable of warging

Liked seeing Jon in the season 5 premiere. I love him helping to train the boys, reminds me a bit of him and Rob teaching Bran to shoot way back in season 1. Melisandre asking him if he was a virgin was just creepy as heck. Also liked his decision to do what he did at the end.

And we got a few seconds of Ghost as well! (as always, I wish there had been more though) - looking at him I'm guessing that Ghost is now at least as big (if not bigger?) as the pups dead mother was in season 1?

Yeah was a good way to end it. Mance seems like a bit of an idiot overall. I thought he'd redeem himself in these later seasons but he's got worse!

If the R+L=J theory is true, while not a dragon on the level of Danaerys, perhaps Jon can warg himself into a dragon!!

Mance was barely memorable to me, honestly. It's kind of a shame because Ciaran Hinds is a great actor. But Mance was just kind of in and out of the story and didn't really do much.

Anyway, yeah... Glad seeing Jon get a promotion. And I hope we see Ghost at least a little bit. I'd almost forgotten about him.

Given the events of the last episode, figured this thread deserved a new post.

This video came across my twitter feed this morning, pretty good compilation of Jon moments throughout the 5 seasons (gosh Kit looked so young in season 1!!). Anyone who hasn't watched the season 5 finale yet, this video would definitely be considered a spoiler. (my only complaint, the music is a bit too loud during the second half of the vid and so some of the spoken dialogue becomes muddled.

As for my thoughts on the final events of the season 5 finale (and comments made by the actor) (spoiler tag just in case for those that haven't seen the episode yet)

Count me among those that doesn't believe what Kit said (I mean, what else is he going to say? If he says no comment - that's pretty much verification that Jon *will* in fact be brought back and you potentially lose any of the suspense that will be building between seasons). I believe Jon will be back (and it better be Kit playing Jon, I've seen elsewhere people speculating that Jon's soul will be brought back in a different actor's body). For me, if Jon doesn't come back there goes one of the biggest reasons I watch the show (I know some people find him a 'boring' character, but I like him and he's one of the precious few 'good' characters left that I feel like I can root for)

R.I.P. Jon Snow

Will miss Kit Harrington on this show

Sucks that he's dead

Jon had better not've warged into a wolf or sent his soul into another person. I enjoy looking at Kit Harington and wish to continue to do so. I will not accept substitutes unless they're only temporary. Maybe that's what'll happen. He'll warg into Ghost and only be restored to his regular form in season 7.

The reason why he would warg into Ghost is to keep his mind after his body is resurrected by fire, Mel, etc.

Yeah, I figured as much. As long as his body eventually returns I will be satisfied.

The last episode was a predictable joke. Killing off Jon Snow was just way over the top.

Not necessary and and it seems theyjust did it for shock value. Predictable they would kill off Stannis and Jon Snow, while chracters like Roose, Ramsay, the Mountain, Thorne, Cersei, Sansa, still live on and also showing a kid get burned at the stake??

??????

Jon Snow is one of my favorite characters on the show (along with Arya, Tyrion, Dany, Jaime, and Varys). I just can't accept his death as final, especially since Melisandre is at Castle Black. He has to come back to he can kick that stupid kid Olly in the butt, along with other back stabbers from the NW.

Killing him off was lame and predictable since he likes killing off good characters. I suspect Dany and Tyrion are next to go in Season 6 and in the next book? Come on now GRRM and those Damn show runners Benioff and Weiss.

In the books GRRM implies he may come back ....however these showrunners may go a different route than the books, from here on out.

From a dream Jon had:

"Burning shafts hissed upwards, trailing tongues of fire. Scarecrow brothers tumbled down, black cloaks ablaze. Snow, an eagle cried, as foemen scuttled up the ice like spiders. Jon was armored in black ice, but his blade burned red in his fist...."

Draw your own conclusions.
