You know what we need?

I liked X-Men: Evolution better than the ballyhooed X-Men cartoon on FOX in the 90s. The animation was much better. De-aging some of the characters was all right by me too. The younger versions came off pretty well, and still true to character.

I loved the 'finale' (?) when they fought against the Sentinel, revealing themselves to the world. That was great.

I digress...I think the idea of a Black Panther cartoon would be great. It would be a nice way to introduce the character. Plus, you could really make Wakanda a vibrant, fantastic place in animation, with the only limits the imagination of the animators/creators.

I do think the JLU animation would work pretty well for a BP cartoon. Not so much the BTAS or STAS style.

I don't want the Panther to come off looking like Batman.

I agree with you wholeheartedly

That wasn't quite the finale if I remember correctly. They did some more episodes after that. And you could tell they had a lot more stuff planned if they hadnt been cancelled

As long as its not a CG show.

Those styles are very similar. I'd like to see a Steve Gordon-type style for BP or for a Marvel equivalent to JLU.

I like the art on Ult Avengers if only the animation was tighter.

I don't know. I can't qyite put my finger on it but I wish it was more...seamless I guess is a word. Look at a movie like Iron Giant and notice the difference in the smoothness of the animation. That's what I mean.

Ah. Okay. I'm not totally against the idea of another CGI cartoon, as long as they gear it more toward us than the TRL crowd.

As much as I liked his work, I don't want that look on a Marvel show.:down
You want to pass out a quality show because you don't like his style of art?

Priorities, man. Priorities.

I said I DO like his style. I just don't want Marvel shows looking like DC shows.

So you want to deprive Marvel of actual good cartoons, maybe even great cartoons, because you want to keep this imaginary barrier between Marvel and DC? A segregation between the companies is pointless, IMO. And God knows it doesn't exist with the actual comics...

Whats the status on the FF cartoon??

My fav marvel cartoon was Spider-Man (90's fox) and Fantastic Four (the one that ran at 6 in the morning on fox in the 90's and each show started with stan lee introducing it then it was followed by Iron Man cartoon) is that the series that made it to DVD???????

I think the guys who do Utlimate Avengers and X-men Evolution have things down perfectly and are best for the job of a MU series. I mean their characters actually look DIFFERENT from each other and accurate to the comics (unlike body builder Spider-man). Their animation has shown to be smoother and less repetitive than any other marvel show (Spider-man ABUSED this right and the X-men were guilty of it too)...I honestly can't think of any team better. I've always dreamed of the day I'd see them draw their version of Spidey.

I'm digging the idea of the marvel universe on video series now though. Has a grander, more epic feel. They're allowed to do things they can't on tv and they get bigger budgets. I'd like to see individual movies of story arcs more actually.

Yup.

Thnx Savage i'm going to make sure to pick up the 4disc set !

i think marvel should admit defeat in the animated world and wait awhile before launching shows in that field. everything they do is going to be compared to the dcau which is a work of genius, considering foundations layed down a decade ago were reaped in current story lines, talk about setting seeds...

ps anyword from the new ff cartoon that looks like anime, i haven't heard anything about it for quite some time...

if there was a cartoon going to come out, i would base it not on x-men, or spidey but i would start at the beginning with the avengers and build it out to fantastic four and see where it goes from there, maybe x-men.

only have spidey and hulk as re-appearing consistent side characters

i guess that's what they may be trying with this ultimate avengers story line but in all honesty, they took a perfect comic template and destroyed it and i don't know what the hell they are doing with black panther, if they keep that costume in the comics, i'll be highly pissed.

Okay You've got X-Men Evolution (Analog: Batman TAS) and you've got Ultimate Avengers (ANalog: Superman TAS) Throw them together in the same universe. Add Spidey and DD and you've got you MU show the same way you had JLU.

Yeah?

i was thinking that but they can't overlap because fury is white in one and black in another...

as soon as i saw ultimate avengers i thought they could do an ultimate war adaptation which would rock socks with the evolution team.

but alas the melanin difference in fury may cause some problems with that...

good point. didn't think of that.

hmmm.....

hurtles.

can still be done. One can be a GOVERNMENT CYBORG FURY!!!!

oh you love it.

Imagine White Fury from Evolution fighting Black Fury from Ultimate. One turns out to be a robot! and get blown up.

pure awesomeness

such a scene would lead to a race war that would split the world leading to world war three.

heck if that was to work, they'd both have to blow up and they will be a chinese nick fury lurking in the background. (or something like that)

good point.

damn Ultimate continuity had to F everything up.

I'd root for White Fury, cuz I'm a traditionalist.but that would look racist.

****.

Racists!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

see what i mean...
