Probably because they're viewed as such a relic of the 80s and 90s that they're not modern enough for people/kids today. Shame though, that 90s element is one of the best things about them. To me, at least.Lobster Charlie said:I really don't think people care as much about TMNT as they used to. I'm actually quite surprised it's getting a theatrical release.

In any case, there's no way TMNT could ever make Spider-Man numbers (if that's what Catman was alluding to in his post). I do think it could be quite a success relative to its budget, but nothing more than that, really.
That would be a shocker.I'm not saying this movie will make Spider-Man or Pirates type money. All I'm asking is if it would be kind of funny if it happened. No one would expect it and WB would be like, "so we spend over 200 million on Superman and all it took was a bunch of animated turtles."
None of these will do Spiderman numbers. If the movie ends up being the hit film Warner Bros. was looking for. Batman Begins and Superman Returns are successful but its not the Spider-Man type hit they're looking for.
It will do average numbers.Maybe you are right! Lots of people know the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They sell lots of toys here for the moment in Belgium.
Hope this movie will have a very good boxoffice!
