Wow, that's pretty hilarious. I think the final fight scene was my favorite part of that movie. The way Riggs and Murtuagh look ready to just throw in the towel, but then they decide to go after Jet anyways. So awesome.

You know one thing that I'm finding in common with most of the picks here....?

The length of the action scene. A lot of these battles/scenes are epically long....some taking up pretty much a whole reel.

That's something that Hollywood these days tends to gloss over in action movies. They're in such a hurry to get their ADHD audiences in and out the door so that the next screening can start at your local multiplex that they don't even take time to craft the action sequences. GL is the most recent and most blatant example of how NOT to do action --- "battles" that are over before they even start.

Bring back the extended action sequence, Hollywood! For the love of Crom!
