My hat off to you. So few Batman fans (or just comic fans in general) have this common sense. Instead, they want to hold on to previous versions claiming that they are ''definitive''. But with a character that exists since the 40's there is no such thing. Every new Batman comic issue, cartoon episode or movie has the possibilty to enrich the Batman Mythos. Seeing the same thing time after time, after time will get boring too. Alot of people don't seem to realise that. The backlash against All Star Batman and TDK's Perma-white Joker proves that.

The thing I can't stand anymore is when people seemingly want certain comics adapted page-for-page. Y'know, how is that NOT boring? How is waiting three years just to see a story you've read before fun?

1. Battle Royale. I just purely love this whole concept.
2. Wayne's World. I can watch it again, and again. Nowadays I know every single line :/
3. Jaws. Just goes to show, a mechanical shark named Bruce can do a whole lot better than any CGI we see today.

Yes! I see way too much Bruce-bashing. I think it's very well made, especially in those days. It helps the suspense so much that you actually see something is in the water, instead of just splashing water with an animated shark in it.

A great action film is one thing. However John McClain/Bruce Willis was NOT the typical action film star when it came out. He was the last person you thought could save the World. This was better than the typical Stallone or Arnold film because he didn't come across as some sort of rock wall unbeatable force. He's just a regular off duty cop who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Steven Seagal tried to kind of copy that with the whole "I'm just a cook" line and it worked...but he was more fo a typical action star due to the skills that made him famous. Also the characters were very colorful, animated, and McTiernan (who's in jail now) did a masterful job at directing that film.
