Btw, did the glasses look too big to anyone else when Optimus was holding them?
Must have been cut then. I won't believe that they simply left Barricade out, just hoping no one would notice.
It's clearly stated in the script what happens to him. That's exactly the way it happens in the leaked draft of the script from a year ago. The script just ceases to mention him with no explanation. They must have done it on purpose for whatever reason.

it wouldnt suit megatrons personality to wake, and then scan for a vehicle etc...he is lord megatron..why would he attempt to hide from the "insects" he is so much more superior to them.. that was protoform megatron...he isnt going to assimilate, unless he has no choice. [like perhaps the sequel now that he has been beaten by these insects he wont underestimate them].how was megatron a space craft when there was no ships he could scan to take form?
maybe he scanned one in sector7??
All of these, besides the last one, are nitpicks to me. There are considerably bigger problems with this movie than those.
It's clearly stated in detail that he joins the Prime/Bonecrusher fight. And they both get defeated. What script did you read? That Bumblebee defeats him? Sure. But long AFTER the Bumblebee fight he's mentioned as being one of the Decepticons that roles up into the fight at the end. And then... nothing.

I agree, but I thought "WTF" when I saw those scenes, and this is a WTF thread. I'm missing the confusion.
Bad phrasing on my part. Let me put it better then. Prime beats them both."And they both get defeated?" It says no such thing. Especially since Bonecrusher shows up even AFTER that with Devastator and gets defeated (truly defeated) by a bunch of soldiers.

You said the way it happened in the movie is "exactly the way it happens" in the script. What I'm saying is that is wrong, because we don't ever see Barricade fight Prime, it's not even alluded to. If things played out the way they were in the script, I would've had no problem with Barricade not showing up after to be honest. Atleast, we would have an idea what happened.
To clear a few things up...
Jazz doesnt need a 'dramatic' death scene. He's a soldier, one casualty in a war. What did you guys want? Dramatic music? Camera slowly circling around as he was torn in two pieces? Some other lame ass crap?
...it's a Michael Bay movie. so yes, lame ass crap would have worked.
Its ironic. You guys want more Autobots and Decepticons. That means underdeveloped characters. So you fans complain.
They put less robots, which means potentially fleshing out each character more fully. You guys complain about lack of robots. Sheesh..there's no satisfying you people. Jazz deserved the quick death scene.
no he didn't
As for Barricade disappearing...Prime supposedly destroyed him on the highway, which explains why he was late.
but it's not shown in the movie, or alluded to. so in the context of the film that's not necessarily so.
And the 'evil' robots created by the Allspark. Newsflash, they're not evil. Suprise! Ever heard of self defense?

t:The only problem I have with this is that they were already in the middle of a crowded street. I don't think Optimus would land a punch like that knowing that he might injure other humans. Which is why I think Megatron has the upper hand and he even says so during the fight. For me it was the too brief fight between Prime and Megatron, and how Megatron whipped Prime in their fight.
Did Prime ever have the upper-hand in the fight? Did he even land a punch? All I can remember was when he blasted Megatron (with an arm cannon I guess), but Megatron promptly responded with his own shot that was much more powerful.
That part of the movie was a big let down for me. I mean, would it have been too much to have Prime land one good punch that sent Megatron flying into a building?
i saw the movie last night and i thought it was one of the best I've seen this year. But I think my main WTF moment was when the allspark changed that Mountain-Dew machine and that one random chick's car (btw, did the car kill her with that weird hand-thing comin out of the wheel). Did it get destroyed later on in the movie? Didn't really see if it did.
p.s. this is my first post. very happy to be here.t:
