Do you have a list of your books?

I do know...

For so many years, I would purchase a few books, and read 2 out of 3 or so, then never remember if I read them...
I posted my books online this way I have a running list of my books as I read them (I have a few)

How do you keep track of your books?

I've kept every book I've read since I was about 20 in shelves around the house (that's a lot of shelves). Apart form that and memory I don't keep any other record. I'm quite selective about which books I read now due to more constraints on time.

On a shelf.

I never have that problem, I read everything I buy or borrow.
Also I'm one of those people that if I read it once, I remember it. I hardly ever re-read a book unless I really enjoy it.

I can understand...I am re-reading all the books in my book database...
Not very far...but have read about 26 books in about 4 months.

I've only read one book twice, the collected writings of kevin smith: silent bob speaks. It was hilarious

I used to have a list of all the books I own, it's something I typed up when I was extremely bored in the middle of the night and the internet was down.

Haven't updated it for some years now, but at last count I had something around 350 books, most of which I've read by now.

I usually just buy 2 or 3 books at a tie, so I read them as I get them.

But as far as novels go, I store them away once I read them. So I only ever have a few laying around, and I either haven't read them or want to reread them.

Yes. I've kept all of them for the most part. They're either in storage, tucked away in my closet, or the 'encore reads' are on my desk shelf.

I've not been very good to my books, except the Clive Barker ones that have been signed and my Anniversary Spidey comics
I like re-reading books and once I get settled in a new home I will have a better system. There are some I haven't gotten to. I have one sociology book that just pisses me off and I can never get through it

I generally don't re-read novels, not out of principle, but cause I don't have the time. If I really liked it, I'll re-read it though. My favorite books I've probably read about three times each... There's one book that I read as a child that I've read dozens of times, just cause it holds such happy memories for me, when I re-read it.

I find that if you read a novel twice, you learn something more... Not just about the novel, also about yourself, especially when there's a significant amount of time between readings.

I had a huge collection of Goosebumps but got rid of 'em when we moved. The ones I have now are on a shelf in my room.

-Potter 1-6
-Pride and Prejudice
-A Farewell to Arms
-Peter Pan
-Lord of the Flies
-The Odyssey
-War of the Worlds

If we're talking fiction.

Once i've read a book and lent it out, I take it to a charity shop. Unless it's a hardback or i've had it signed. I never reread books as some many more new books exist to read. This is not true of comics which I do keep and I do reread.

I myself dont even own that many books, seeing as my parents have boxes and boxes full of them. The only ones I actually own are American Psycho, Rules Of Attraction, Bruce Campbell's 2 books, the Halo books, the first Doom book, and the first Resident Evil book, which I keep on my beds headboard shelf thing.

I read mostly true crime or weird trivia books. i also like books about various tv shows

Which book is that?

I don't know what has become of all my childhood books, but I found one I enjoyed "Wednesday Witch" on amazon. I haven't reread it yet. But I'm glad I bought it seems really hard to find.

I don't know about him, but I still read Dinotopia monthly.

:heart:Dinotopia:heart:

I keep my books in my bookcase. The only book I remember reading twice is American Psycho.

I probably average 2 books a month. But these Bourne books are killer.

edit:
I read Jurassic Park and Along Came A Spider twice.

i have 10 or so books sitting in a box somewhere...had to pack em up to get the carpet changed. othernat, no lists, unless the library keeps track of that crap.

I don't think you'd know it, since it's in Dutch. It's called "The Adventures of Bill Clifford" and it's a sardonic Sherlock Holmes parody from the forties. I loved it reading it as a kid and I still do!

Shelves, boxes, no lists.

Ditto on the Jurassic Park book. I wouldn't normally re-read them as a rule but seeing as I'm really selective (or dismissive :o) I tend to like them enough to read them 2 or 3 times.

Although the list thing is something I'd do anyway because I'm kinda geeky like that. Membership here being proof.

I have a couple of good books, but they are in my desk, somewhere. :(

I remember every book I read. I haven't read one twice yet. I usually re-read my favorite parts.
