Well it was a "Made for TV movie", so I counted it too. I loved the scenes where we first learn that the Visitors are reptiles. The visual effects are kinda cheesy compared to what can be accomplished today, but for their time they were cutting edge.

When you say alien, I assume you mean, movies where there's only humans and one species of alien? As opposed to full universes like Star Wars, Trek and Avatar?

Oh good. Episodes 1, 2, and 3 were pure crap. I still can't believe George Lucas still insists that their his best work yet. I watched Episode 2 with the feature commentary, and he said the films final battle between the clones and the battle droids was the best battle scene he'd ever filmed. The whole goddamn thing looked like a goddamn video game!.

I'd also like to add War Of The Worlds to my list. I've seen the original from the 1950s as well as Spielberg's version with Tom Cruise & Dakota Fanning a few years back. Really enjoyed them both.
