So I was trimming my monthly buy list when I started wondering exactly what WAS my favorate comic? So I then went and decided to figure it out. I listed all the monthly comics I read along with some of the more major minis and events over the past few months. I then went through them and put them in order of my favorite. To help divy it up I color coded it. Marvel comics are in RED. DC comics are in BLUE. Other company comics are BOLDED. All of the UNDERLINED comics are things that have either ended, will be ending soon, or I have been forced to drop.

Nova
X-Force

Final Crisis: Revelations
War of Kings (along w/ Ascension & other lead-ins)
Immortal Iron Fist

Final Crisis (along w/ all Morrison tie-ins)
X-Factor
Guardians of the Galaxy

New Warriors
Green Lantern
Avengers: The Initiative
Wolverine (Old Man Logan)
Punisher
Young X-Men

Umbrella Academy
Deadpool
Skaar: Son of Hulk

Green Lantern Corps
Echo
Dark Avengers
Mighty Avengers
Cable
Thunderbolts
Justice Society of America
New Avengers
Captain Britain & MI: 13

End League
Secret Six
Project Superpowers (along w/ Black Terror & other minis)
Uncanny X-Men
Justice League of America
Secret Warriors
X-Men Legacy
Marvels: Eye of the Camera
New Mutants

Green Arrow/Black Canary
Astonishing X-Men

And so... those I still currently buy (underlined books are about to end but I do still buy them as of now):

Nova
X-Force
War of Kings (along w/ Ascension & other lead-ins)
Immortal Iron Fist
X-Factor
Guardians of the Galaxy

Green Lantern
Avengers: The Initiative
Wolverine (Old Man Logan)
Punisher
Deadpool
Skaar: Son of Hulk

Green Lantern Corps
Echo
Dark Avengers
Mighty Avengers
Cable
Thunderbolts
New Avengers
Captain Britain & MI: 13

End League
Project Superpowers (along w/ Black Terror & other minis)
Uncanny X-Men
Secret Warriors
X-Men Legacy
Marvels: Eye of the Camera
New Mutants

So how would you rate your monthly buy list? What's your favorite comic that you buy monthly and what's your least? I just found this kinda fun to put together so I thought maybe some of you would as well.

Skaar Son of Hulk and Incredible Herc hands down. Since the end of WWH those have consistently raised the bar for superhero comics. The pacing, dialogue, characterization, stories, and art teams have all been top notch nearly 100% of the time. I strongly recommend them to all.

Incredible Hercules, Captain Britain and MI-13 and Booster Gold.

captain america
cap britain and mi13
hercules
all avengers titles
all wolverine titles
spiderman
action comics
green lantern

After jumping back in the comic pool, I've been working on my ongoing decisons, as I can't do toooo many. But for now the list is:
Thor
Daredevil
Nova
R.E.B.E.L.S.
and probably Incredible Hulk when issue #600 hits
(although I'm also considering adding Fables and Walking Dead as well)

:bh:

Batman
Detective Comics
Batman Confidential
ASM
No Hero
Crossed
Deadpool
Dark Avengers
Unwritten
Daredevil
DMZ
Northlanders

My top ongoing right now is Dark Avengers. Probably followed by Captain America. I'd also say that new Punisher series, but the latest issue started with a new artist that is going to be staying on it apparently, and he's half as good as the artist who started on it.

I recommend getting Fables (and pretty much any Vertigo book) in trade format. That way you can start from the beginning and trades/hardcovers are way easier to store/organize. I have recently switched from getting a certain amount of comics monthly to getting all trades and HCs.

Just throwing that out there since now I wish I did that from the beginning.

And most of Vertigo's trades are ridiculously cheap.

Captain America, Thor, Green Lantern, Mighty Avengers, and the Superman titles are my favorites right now.

X-Factor, Green Lantern, Captain America, Nova, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Incredible Hercules are easily my favorites.

Since most of my titles are Marvel, I will just give the company of those non-Marvel.

Favorite Ongoings that Aren't Canceled:

NOVA
CAPTAIN AMERICA
INVINCIBLE (Image)

These three usually battle for the Number 1 spot in my mind every month.

INCREDIBLE HERCULES - VERY close second
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
AGENTS OF ATLAS
AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE
MIGHTY AVENGERS
BOOSTER GOLD (DC)
DYNAMO 5 (Image)
ASTOUNDING WOLF-MAN (Image)
INVINCIBLE IRON MAN
THOR

Favorite Ongoings that are Canceled:

CAPTAIN BRITAIN AND MI-13 :(
BLUE BEETLE (DC, and he's back in BOOSTER GOLD back-up strips, at least)

Favorite Ongoings that are becoming 6-issue mini's to finish out their creative runs before Limbo/Relaunch:

IMMORTAL IRON FIST
GHOST RIDER

Note that while I do buy FANTASTIC FOUR, I wouldn't consider it a "favorite" ongoing and am waiting for the Millar run to come to an end to see what Hickman brings to the table. I also didn't put mini's that I am enjoying, including WAR OF KINGS stuff and MAX mini's like DESTROYER and TERROR, INC: APOCALYPSE NOW. I also usually get every installment of the UMBRELLA ACADEMY series from Dark Horse, so far sold in 6 issue chunks.

I'm so happy to see so many people who also put iHerc as one of their favorite ongoings. It is such a good book!

I look forward to checking out JMS' Thor, GotG, and Nova eventually.

I currently collect

Deadpool
Uncanny X-men
X-men:Legacy
Moon Knight
Daredevil
Captain America
Green Lantern
Invincible Iron Man
War Machine
Ghost Rider
Immortal Iron Fist

Top 5{No order}
Daredevil
Immortal Iron Fist
Ghost Rider
Captain America
Deadpool

almost in the top 5
X-men:Legacy
Green Lantern

So two of of my top 5 are canceled.I might just drop War Machine too seeing as I'm adding Gotham City Sirens and most likely Streets of Gotham.Uncanny might leave the pull list as well if it permanently goes up to 3.99.

I can't give you a single favorite title, but there are comics I look forward to reading most whenever I get them. You know, the kind that goes straight to the top of my pile when I'm organizing my weekly haul to read. Those are:

Captain America
Captain Britain and MI-13
Guardians of the Galaxy
Incredible Hercules
Mighty Avengers
Nova
Thor

I tend to read a bunch of comics on Wednesday afternoon and then spread the rest out over lunches for the rest of the weekdays, and sometimes I'll go weeks before I finally get around to reading one of my lower-tier comics. But those titles are the ones that almost never make it to Thursday unread, let alone a whole week.

And yes, they're all Marvel, and you have no idea how much that pains me. :o

Invincible Iron Man
War Machine
Booster Gold (DC)

Good to see I'm not the only one who appreciates War Machine, IronMan24.

I enjoy it, but don't know how long it will last, I can't imagine it's getting very good sales numbers. That said I like to stay in the Iron Man universe when it comes to titles I stay loyal to, plus all three of the titles I mentioned (including Booster Gold) are actually really, really good reads right now :im:.
I'm also very interested in Marvel's launch in September of a Ultimate Iron Man 4 issue limited series, Ultimate Armor Wars, that looks very interesting :stark.

Captain America

Thor
Mighty Avengers
Invincible Iron Man
Criminal
Fables
Batman, before Battle for the Cowl. I switched my subscription to Batman and Robin, but it's too early to know whether or not it's a favorite.

Deadpool

Dark Avengers

Captain Britain

X-Force

Cable

War Machine

Ms Marvel

My favourite? Do you have to ask? :D

I have to add a title to my favorites: Agents of Atlas. If you haven't been reading this you are seriously missing out on an awesome team book.

The team is comprised of:

James Woo - a secret agent/kung fu style badass.
Ken Hale - a gorilla who talks and has the mind of a man and kicks lots of ass.
M-11 - a super powerful robot, "The Day the Earth Stood Still" kind.
Namora - what's better than Namor? A hot girl Namor.
Bob - an alien from Uranus who has a flying saucer, can fly, and has telepathic abilities among other stuff.
Venus - a siren who can control people's minds by singing. She's hot, too.

Here's the premise: James Woo is in charge of a criminal syndicate known as the Yellow Claw. Since he's a good guy he is using the infamy of the syndicate to ally himself with Norman Osborn and now they're basically doing a bunch of stuff that makes them look like bad guys when they're really doing good guy stuff.

It's extremely well written and the art is always damn good. ESPECIALLY when Carlo Pagulayan is doing pencils. They are simply awesome pages.

I didn't quite realize how good it was until I got caught up on it tonight. Check it out.

Daredevil
Thor
Incredible Hercules
Guardians of the Galaxy
Green Lantern
Green Lantern Corps

There's loads of titles that I havn't read yet tho due to waiting for the trades.

I think the better question to ask is if you could read only ONE ongoing, which would it be?

In that case i'd currently be leaning towards Green Lantern.

Deadpool
Incredible Hercules
Captain America
Thor (it's been so long, I can't even remember if I like this :oldrazz:)
X-Factor
Green Lantern Corps

I also liked Ghost Rider and Iron Fist, but I won't count them since they're both on their way out.
