I recommend getting Fables (and pretty much any Vertigo book) in trade format. That way you can start from the beginning and trades/hardcovers are way easier to store/organize. I have recently switched from getting a certain amount of comics monthly to getting all trades and HCs.

Just throwing that out there since now I wish I did that from the beginning.

Yeah I have been thinking about doing that as well..although I think if I opt for the tpb route I'll probably go after the Annihilation series and more than likely also get the Planet Hulk as well before I start on the other ones. Although I'll check the prices on all of 'em first..if the Vertigo are really that much less than the regular ones I'll possibly get that instead.
