I think I might have started that rumor, just as a bit of a joke... it started about the time that AMH was cast and we were all speculating on who he might play... I made a comment about the whole DuCard/Ra's thing in Batman Begins and how they could pull something like that with the Joker. But it would have obviously been stupid.

Yeah, there were a few sites that had this old fashioned car. They claimed it was the Joker car becasue it was purple.

It wasn't a rumor, just a theory. So I'm sorry if you took it as such...

The amusement park truck which Joker drives probably helped lend credibility to your theory....plus I guess a lot of people wanted to believe because it sounds like such a fitting and potentially classic showdown for these two characters....

IMO it would have been better than the 'sonar showdown' we ended up with, which I thought was one of the film's few real weak spots.

i actually was glad most of the rumors i heard were debunked, i quite frankly though AMH as the riddler was an awful casting choice. the zipline theory was very odd to me, as well. i kept trying to go over in my head how exactly a zipline could make those kind of scars and it just didnt seem right.

the only rumor i really wanted to happen was the fear toxin joker, just because it wouldve been so cool to see. i guess it wouldve required scarecrow have more than 2 mins of screen time, though...

someone posted a while back that the TDK coloring book had spoilers in it but nothing in the book had anything to do with the movie at ALL.

although some of the images are down right hysterical (aka scarecrow kid) I was hoping to see a few little things from the book in the film.

That the new batsuit would "ruin" the film. Lots of people hated when it was first revealed, but in my opinion it didn't take away from the movie at all, and it was great to see Batman move so much easier. Since July 18th, i haven't heard a PEEP about the batsuit.

I think it was actually that everything would stay open in order to show the Joker they weren't afraid of him. But yeah, I remember that. The poster that showed Batman standing in front of a completely lit up Gotham made me believe it was true.
