The Dark Knight Your favorite rumor that ended up to be bunk...

There was one rumor that was debunked, but actually WAS in the movie. The scene where Gordon puts a gun to the Joker's head and J says: "Could you give us a minute?" I'm really glad it was in, because I've loved it ever since I first heard it.

Why is everyone sad/angry that Harley Quinn wasn't in the movie? I dont think this version of The Joker would of worked with a side-kick.

Also I cant remember who had it but someone for ages as their signature had "Anthony Michael Hall is confirmed to play Harley Quinn, now move on!" I dont know if it was a joke or not, but I thought that was pretty funny.

I remember that too and loving it. Then everyone told me it was fake, so it was a pleasant surprise when it DID happen.

Same here. It wasn't too long ago when somebody here said to me that scene wasn't going to be in the movie. I was disappointed, but like you said, pleasantly surprised when it did happen.

Jett says
No. I was told by someone very high up in the production of the film that nothing was left out. Chris Nolan himself told me he put “everything” into the film. So no, I wouldn’t expect to see any deleted scenes as an extra in the DVD.
As far as a “Director’s Cut,” there is one. It’s in theaters now and it’s called THE DARK KNIGHT.

:cmad:

He definetely has different takes from the actors for different scenes, but nothing monumental enough to warrant a "Director's Cut" ...

I enjoyed the rumor that it was the Joker who did something to destroy Batman's old suit in their first encounter...when actually Bruce just wanted to upgrade it.

and props to the guy on imdb many, many months ago who said the Joker's father gave him his cut mouth. I told him I believed him...but man, that kid got ridiculed to no end...he was at least partially right.

The whole 'permawhite' debate. Man, that drove me nuts.

White on flesh on white makeup? Just so we could see it run off him? To what end? "That guy who's been in whiteface the whole movie actually has a white face"? Big effin' deal.

The whole 'chemical bath' scenario is just too sci-fi goofy for the Nolan universe. Ledger was such a great Joker, I couldn't care less if his butt cheeks were white.

Glad it's over. Ugh.

That the taser in the face for the Scarecrow in BB would cause some scarring/ fusion of the stitching from the mask to his face. That was a bit underwhelming when the mask came off at the start of TDK:oldrazz:

heh... I'm so glad that Lucius didn't end up being killed... I want him to come back in part 3..

There has to be at least two deleted scenes. Remember Halloween and we got that pic of The Joker in the back seat of a car with one of his goons in the front?
What about the scene with Batman on top of a police car and jumping across the tops of other cars?

Actually the flesh tone make up on the white make up was true. Err, well we'll have to wait for DVD / Blu-ray quality for sure.

I just got the TDK Script/Art book. The Joker cop in parade scene says he's wearing flesh tone make up on top of the white make up.

Prolly to still look creepy. And that large pic that got leaked, although "grainy" showed traces of white still on his face.

"What's he hiding under that make up?"

I think Nolan wanted to raise some questions amongst the audience and then not answer them. 1/2 the fun is speculation.

He just wears makeup ... there is no mystery to it. No make up ontop of make up ... haha

After seeing the scene in one of the trailers of a platform descending into the current "Bat garage" two of my friends were CONVINCED that they could see a pair of purple legs on it. For weeks they talked with anticipation about how The Joker was going to vandalize the Batcave. I was glad to point that out strait away :D

A scene in a room full of mirrors, like in TKJ or in Bruce Lee's film, Enter the Dragon.
It was rumored...

I remember something along the lines of a Joker-mask fusion due to some accident.

God, that would have made a weird looking guy.

The best one was the whole final confrontation in a circus. People went nuts over that rumor. Arguing back and forth, posting pics of possible set locations, etc. It was crazy.

It isn't true anyway :whatever:

the scene with batman jumping over the rooftops was supposed to go before the shot of him getting on the bat pod once he goes to save rachel.
He leaves says he going after rachel, he jumps over the police cars and get on the pod.
