... I'm trying to do things the right way (bills/debts/loans/etc), and I think everything is fine and I'm sideswiped by something that ruins my financial planning- it kinda reminds me of take a step forward take ten back kinda thing, I'm a little worried about things at the moment......

...while my younger sibling does things the wrong way (fraudulently/etc...) and everything coming up roses for them, for the time being......

It just makes me shake my head. I don't get how people can be this close minded. I have a friend who's into a number of conspiracies and most of our group of friends make fun of him and won't even hear him out most of the time.

I pride myself on the fact that I like to hear both sides of the story and am open to new ideas and possibilities.

I agree with this, myself, I respect & value my friends, relatives opinions, values, politics, social issues, etc whether its my cup of tea or not...that doesn't define them to me...it has never crossed my mind to scrutinize someone ever because I thought they believed something ridiculous or different than me, and it hurts me to see this happen, quite often......
