Congrats, MM. Close to wrapping it up, or do you think it could go another 40,000?
That's neat. I hope it's a great story.Big milestone for me tonight: Crossed 40,000 words on my novel. I've never written that much before, on a single project.

All 3 of my Avengers steelbooks are waiting for me at Best Buy for pick-up after work
I cannot wait to score these. I don't think I will upgrade every MCU film to 4K (I am not reconverting my collection from Blu Ray to 4k after mostly converting from DVD to Blu Ray), but these Steelbooks are just that awesome. Also the Avengers films are special to me, so I will make the exception for them. But I am not re-buying the 11 films I would need to re-buy to reconvert them all.
I will just have to get Avengers 4 as a steelbook next year to make sure my editions for them match, LOL!

Oh, mine don't get here for another 3 weeks!
I'm spot-converting to 4K. Just my favourite old films that I rewatch a lot and new films. Not everything.

Haven't bought a "day of" release since Life of Pi.Why talk about back pain to a dentist?
I saw a poster for the band before asking that question.Uh, Aziz.....you do know that SPINAL TAP is a 1984 movie starring and directed by Rob Reiner and not just a reference to a medical procedure done on the back?
Not entirely sure how Stokes wasn't found guilty, but oh to be rich & famous, and be able to afford a wonderful lawyer and have the 'oh I'm famous, let me off or pay a fine only' option.

How do you spot-convert to 4k? Is there a program to download?
Pretty much same here, which fits with me buying less films in general now. I used to buy a lot more films but after a couple of decades it became clear I was only rewatching a small proportion of them. So I only buy films I know I will rewatch many times now, even if that means not buying a bunch of good films. And with Netflix and On Demand with cable its easy to watch all the other films I want to see when I want to.I would maybe convert some of my like absolute favorite ones, like the Avengers and such. But that would be about it. But for new things I buy, I snag the 4K.
I doubt anyone here knows who Stokes is lol.
You know theres a cricket thread btw if youre interested. Getting very quiet in there recently even though theres a lot going on.![]()

Sorry, thats not an official term or anything and I guess it could have been misleading. I just made it up to describe what Im doing - picking and choosing which blu-ray films to get on 4K disc, rather than replacing my whole collection which Ive done in the past for VHS to DVD to blu-ray. So no official physical converting going on lol.
Pretty sure another 40,000, since I'm just getting to the midpoint![]()

I may also upgrade the Captain America movies once those come too
winter soldier should be awesome in 4k
