Why does this not apply to any of the big guys that Vince likes?

Possible reason? Vince see the top face for the men's roster as the tent pole around which everything else spins, and believes that tent pole must be an exact size and shape and fulfilling the exact same functions as the previous tent poles. And since Vince simultaneously undersells his own talent while saying that they don't want to reach for the brass rings, he still doesn't think they have a true tent pole guy ready to go, I.e., his idea of what Roman should be, and so he feels he has to protect him and squeeze him I tot he same mold as everyone else.

And yeah, the Styles and Shane story isn't necessarily pushing the illogical bounds of WWE, but having his assault on Shane occur literally within the same frame as Orton's antics and everything else highlights the stupidity of it. If Styles is supposed to be the loose cannon heel to Shane's authority face, it falls apart because it looks like the authority figures are as thin skinned as Donald Trump in regards to Shane, but utterly uncaring about everyone else. Having Styles explicitly point this out just highlights that problem.

So Bobby Fish is apparently done with ROH as he says on Twitter:

Beginning March 27, 2017... I am once again accepting independent professional wrestling bookings...Please DM me here... Thank you

Randy Orton commits arson, and he gets a spot in the WrestleMania main event.

Baron Corbin commits kidnapping and attempted murder, and he gets a WrestleMania match against a former WWE Champion Even though everyone keeps saying he “crossed the line.”

AJ Styles attacks the Shane—after weeks (months?) of his genuine gripes being ignored—and he’s fired. Until he’s given a match against said Commissioner, that is. Still, Styles is the only one who has to face any repercussions in the first place. Remember fines? Corbin should have at least been fined. But there’s precedent that behaving chaotically and criminally gets you opportunities on SmackDown.

Again, how is AJ NOT the aggrieved party in all of this.

The truly sad aspect of the arson storyline is that it might actually be interesting if it didn't feature Randy Borton's slow-moving, slow-talking, stale character.

The problem with the AJ storyline is that no matter what AJ says or does, there is zero payoff for him. What will he gain by beating a graying non-wrestler? Absolutely nothing.

Ohno could use some long tights or some pants.

Based on the newest rumor for WM 34 for next year, Vince's raging chubby over Roman Reigns will continue.

John Cena to induct Kurt Angle into the WWE Hall of Fame
John Cena will have the honor of inducting Kurt Angle – his very first opponent in WWE – into the WWE Hall of Fame during the 2017 Induction Ceremony on Friday, March 31, airing live on WWE Network.

Cena was a long way from becoming a 16-time World Champion on June 27, 2002 when he accepted the Olympic Gold Medalist's open challenge, believing he had the "ruthless aggression" to defeat Angle before striking him. Though he did not earn the victory, Cena established himself as a force to be reckoned with in WWE.

Angle and Cena would remain rivals throughout the latter's rise to Superstardom, even battling over the WWE Championship in 2005. Now, Cena will present Angle to the WWE Universe for the first time in more than a decade – and officially as a WWE Hall of Famer.

What will Cena have to say when he inducts one of his greatest rivals into sports-entertainment history? Find out during the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Friday, March 31 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, live on the award-winning WWE Network!

Cena's a great choice to induct Angle. Probably means Kurt will be the last inductee of the evening.

Considering how long he's been gone and how big a name he is, I assumed he would be the closer the moment he was announced.

Angle did say that Cena was one of his top three choices of who to induct him.

He was likely going to be the headliner anyway, but I figured it might be DDP too, just because I know they like to end on a high note, so they might go with they guy who's cleaner and has helped a lot of people.

Ring of Honor's parent company, Sinclair Broadcast Group, looks like it's about to buy all of Tribune's media outlets.

That would include WGN, Food Network, and various Fox, CW, CBS, NBC, and ABC stations in markets including Denver, San Diego, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Dallas, Houston, Seattle, Norfolk, Salt Lake City, St Louis, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Cleveland, Oklahoma City, Miami, Washington DC, Miami, Chicago, Indianapolis, Hartford, New York, and Kansas City among others.

They might just turn around and sell WGN and Food Network, but they're probably keeping the rest.

That could be huge for ROH. It would almost double the number of people who could get ROH TV on one of the big 5 (Fox, CW, ABC, CBS, NBC) stations in their markets rather than just Comet.

Yes,
Reigns/Lesnar 2 for the Universal Title. What will they do when they don't have a MITB winner to save the show?

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar will main event next year's Wrestlemania according to Dave Meltzer.

If WWE plays the long game they could still get Reigns over as a babyface. Every super over babyface of the last 20 years had a singles run as a heel. They should at least try to turn Roman and find a schtick that gets over with the hardcores, then modify it to fit a babyface, and you could have a guy the company wants to push that doesn't get the mixed reaction. If they don't try it, then it's just a missed opportunity that could actually make Reigns an even bigger star.

I think they have almost lost the chance to turn Roman heel and get him over that way. It would be "too obvious" what they are doing at this point. Why would a hardcore ever cheer for Roman now that didn't involve a situation where we have an even worse problem then Roman?

Roman's biggest benefit at this point would be putting someone else over.

That is why they need to turn Reigns at Wrestlemania. They really hit something off when Reigns did the "I'm not a good. I'm not a bad guy" cocky, arrogant schitck. It was natural even during his Shield days. Use the nuclear heat Reigns will get when he beats Undertaker for something good. Full on heel until next Royal Rumble.

...if the rumors are true, does that mean Lesnar is going to be Universal Champion for a year as a part-timer? I hope we get that payoff to Kevin Owens's throwaway line about getting his rematch whenever he wants by SummerSlam time.

i'm sorry but it doesn't matter if it's obvious or not. Everything having to be out of nowhere is Russo logic. If Roman can find something as a heel then it will work and I believe it's worth trying.

This is not Russo logic. The problem is it would feel manufactured like Roman's face push. That is exactly the stuff hardcore fans crap on. Turning him heel to make him a face might have worked a while back. But instead they have pushed him ridiculously to the point that he isn't going to get cheered for being a "cool" heel or someone they want to turn face.

It doesn't help that Roman doesn't have any real babyface qualities. If they turn him heel, just make him a heel.

Lesnar as champ for a year sounds dreadful. I thought maybe they'd do Lesnar/Reigns II as this years Summerslam and then Reigns/Cena WM34 as the passing of the torch. Not that's what I would want, but it's what I think they would do.

Lets go back to your idea then, who could WWE make by having Roman lose to them? Strowman? Big E? Who would WWE sign off on as their next #1?
