What route do would you like to see the movie take? How do you think the characters should be involved? Basically, I'm asking you to post your ideas for the Teen Titans flick.

Here's my idea:

It could start with a strange alien space craft of some sort entering Earth's atmosphere and it crash landing. This of course is Starfire.

I can see Dick Grayson already undergoing his training around the world after giving up the Robin mantle a few years back. He could be seen training with mercenary Slade Wilson who is showing him how to fight and how to be a warrior. Training is over and they eventually have a fallout, so Dick returns back to New York (or maybe San Francisco) and beings college after dropping out to travel (meanwhile he can also be trying to develop a new crime fighting persona).

Meanwhile we can be shown Victor Stone waking up in a medical facility (maybe STAR Labs) after his accident [off screen]] (which is explained to the viewers) and he sees his new body and runs off in a fit. He now hides out in alleyways away from society after they treat him differently. Eventually he could befriend Beast Boy (possibly after helping him out of a fight or something or vice versa).

Later we can be shown the terrorist organization The HIVE recruiting Slade Wilson to undergo special enhancements to act as their soldier. He is then sent out with a team of villains (probably Mammoth, Plasmus, or some other villains that would be good...maybe even introduce Raven as a villain with the HIVE, but she teeters on both sides kinda) to go retreive the alien that crash landed previously from a government base. They succeed and while escaping away in their truck, Dick sees this and tries to be a hero after finally inventing the Nightwing identity for himself. He gets into a tussle and isn't doing too well, but then Cyborg and Beast Boy step in to help. Nightwing sees Slade aka Deathstroke, not knowing it was his old mentor and vice versa. In the end, they manage to win and Starfire is rescued and the villains return empty handed (they leave Raven behind after she slips up and she is betrayed by Slade). The heroes decide to take in the wounded Raven.

The three boys and Starfire and Raven sit and talk about what just happened. Starfire explains herself after learning English from kissing Nightwing. Everyone introduces themselves and Raven tells them what she believes the HIVE is planning (it could be something like a big death ray machine or something that runs on solar power, which is why they need Starfire since her body carries the power of the sun).

From there we can be shown some little humorous clips of Dick trying to get Starfire to look human and act "normal" (maybe we could even have the HIVE test their ray with a different, less better power source on a building as they announce their plan). Later, Slade will study some footage of him and Nightwing's previous fight, and he will see how similiar his fighting style is and he begins to suspect who his true identity is. Slade then goes after Dick at his home or whever he is and fights him in his civilian identity after revealing who he is. In the end, he eventually captures Dick and holds him for ransom and contacts the others. Cyborg and Raven don't want to get anymore involved then they already are, but Beast Boy and Starfire want to help, so they go off on their own.

Dick has been brought back to the lair and is getting tortured. Finally the heroes come to the rescue and a brawl ensues with the superpowered ones. Cyborg and Raven eventually join the fight and free Nightwing who goes after Slade and the two being their own hand to hand fight. Fight here. Fight there. Kick here. Sonic blast there.

Cyborg could eventually find a way to destroy the HIVE lair using the computer system, which he does, killing Slade in the process and some other villains (the others are captured and locked up). The heroes make it out alive and they finally decide to stick around and form a team and uh yeah.

That's what I got.

I would stick pretty close to the original reason for the team's formation; Raven brings them together in an effort to stop her father, the Demon Trigon, from overtaking this dimension. I would start the movie out with a great action sequence of the team in unison, fighting off Trigon's demonic footsoldiers. They are a cohesive unit, with Nightwing clearly the leader. The other members are Raven, Starfire, Changeling, Cyborg and Donna Troy. We make sure this opening sequence is a kick ass one, where we all get to see exactly what each member's abilities are and how they function as a unit. Just as one of the bad guys is about to make a killing blow...we cut to Dick Grayson, waking up from a nightmare. He's 18 and just moved to NY from Gotham ( here is we we get some exposition on how he was Batman's partner and they had a bad falling out. That's all the Batman reference you need ). We cut to him fighting crime as Nightwing, when after busting up some thugs, Raven appears to him. He recognizes her from his dream, and she informs him that it wasn't a dream, but a vision of the future that she sent him, that he and the others in the dream are needed to save the world. We then cut to Starfire in space, escaping her alien captors, who then follow her to Earth. Next, we go to S.T.A.R. Labs, where we meet the rest of the soon to be Titans. Cyborg is there getting his prosthetics tested ( it's still soon after the accident, and he's very bitter ) Changeling has lived most of his life in the lab since his billionaire father saved his life by giving him his powers. He's a freak that S.T.A.R. keeps secret ( think Hellboy ) and finally, super strong and nearly invulnerable Donna Troy. Unlike the others, she comes and goes from S.T.A.R, since she passes for normal. She was rescued from a burning building where everyone else died as a toddler, with not a scratch on her. She has fuzzy memories of an orphanage, and most of her memories really begin at age 13, when she showed up at S.T.A.R. Labs one day.( we leave Donna'sback story vague for possible sequels ) She's lived on and off there since, but has since tried to lead a more normal life. When Starfire arrives on Earth, the Gordanians ( her alien captors ) follow her, and begin tearing up NY in the fight with her. Nightwing goes to help, as do the S.T.A.R. Labs kids, or the "Teen Titans" as the doctors teasingly call them. Along with Raven, the six teenagers beat back the Gordanians, and the team is unofficially formed. Raven insists that this was fate...that these group of disparate teenagers were meant to band together to stop a greater evil...her father, the demon Trigon, from destroying this dimension....

Anyways, that's how I would start it. Obviously, I would end it with the Titans victorious over Trigon, although I'm not sure of the how. After he's defeated, they are the toast of NY, and the city's mascots. They are given the T-Tower and the story is set for sequels...

Lestat74, that was pretty good. I like how you managed to find a way to include Donna in on this. I would've loved to fit her in, but I couldn't find a reasonable way. Impressive.

Thanks! I don't think Donna will be in it for sure, to be honest. Although I think she is the only Titan other than Nightwing who is a legacy character that has a shot of being in it. I think she's an important balance between the other two female characters, Starfire ( the highly emotional, often ruthless warrior ) and Raven ( the serene pacsifist ) Also, her ties to Wonder Woman are easily negated, as she was not related to Wonder Woman during the whole post Crisis era ( from about 1986-1998 ) and she worked as a character just fine. She doesn't even need to be called "Wonder Girl", just like they never reffered to Jean Grey as Marvel Girl in the X-Men films. Although if a Wonder Woman movie does come out first ( a big if ) then you could easily say that she was inspired by her and tried to emulate her and she could still be called Wonder Girl. Could work either way.

I don't like any of those so far. One, I think you guys are focusing too much on the "origin" aspect of each member, and not enough on the origin of the team, and two, I think Trigon is too big to start a film with, and may even draw comparisons to HELLBOY, CONSTANTINE, etc. I think the villain almost has to be Slade Wilson, and there needs to be some kind of political reason for the Titans to band together. Raven could even be part of the team, and Trigon could show up in a sequel.

I think the reason I would go with Trigon is because I like the idea that the Titans are gathered together for a purpose. I love Deathtroke, but I think he would be better served in a potential parts 2 and 3 ( in part 2 you set up Deathstroke, getting a contract from the H.I.V.E to take out the Titans, a much more impressive target if they are already established heroes. You also introduce Terra here, and leave her true motivations a mystery till the finale of the second film. Part 3 would be then be the Judas Contract story ) But for there to even be a parts 2 and 3, you need a strong part one with a definite begining, middle and end. Trigon is an epic villain. I would almost certainly redesign him, as a Giant red man with antlers might not work very well on film. I would make him more like Sauron in the Lord of the Rings films...someone who takes corporeal form almost never ( although he had to have at some point to conceive Raven and her dead siblings ) with his physical representation in our world being his demonic hordes who speak for him. After the team defeats Trigon, they stay together as a sort of family, but I really feel they need to be brought together for a reason.

I thought those plot outlines were very good.

I think Deathstroke in the first, Trigon in the second. otherwise, pretty good.

I think a threat as big as an interdimensional demon bent on world destruction should be saved for a part 3, not a 2.

Why no Slade? Part 3 could be a Slade/Trigon team up, or just Trigon by himself. More on Raven's origin could be divulged in 3 as well, rather than all in 1 or 2.

Fine. Have them battling some organization or villain in a story that strongly utilizes Slade Wilson.

There's no reason the Titans couldn't be seen as established heroes already.

You're all assuming that The Titans is going to be a trilogy. It may well only be one film. But you can't go into Film One assuming there will be 2, 3, etc. It just doesn't work that way anymore. Trigon is a bit too big, and a bit too supernatural, even in a movie with superheroes, to be their first baddie. Slade Wilson is a much more down-to-Earth and relevant villain. There's no reason Wilson couldn't be a villain in all three films, even.

If the writers are smart, they'll right the story with a possibility of there being a part 2 and possible a 3. They won't just right them as an already established team, have all their stories told in one film and put them against a villain and call it a day.

If the writers are even smarter, they'll start with a concept that is big in scale, but still smaller than what its story will breed later on. It's not possible to "tell all their stories" well in one film, so I doubt that's even an issue.

I'd like to see it as Nightwing, the central character of the film, joining (or getting recruited by) with the already established (but not complete) team of Titans (Cyborg, Raven, Starfire, and Beast Boy).

As long as Deathstroke is in the first one, and doesn't get killed off, I'll be happy.

Ok, I've done some thinking about this. In my perfect world, THE TITANS would be a hybrid of THE TEEN TITANS and YOUNG JUSTICE, exploring the themes about young heroes, and the public's trust issues with heroes in general. To that end, the villains in the first film could be Deathstroke and the Department of Extranormal Operations (Too much like Hellboy?). Cyborg would come from the US military and recruit Nightwing, Raven would come from the DEO, Starfire from space, and Changeling from...somewhere else. The kicker? The Titans are started by Slade Wilson, who would be attempting to ferret out superassassin/undercover agent Deathstroke. I had a bunch of other notes on the concept, but this is the basic idea. TITANS 2 would involve Terra, and TITANS 3 would feature The Titans teaming with Deathstroke and the emergence of Trigon.
